21-22 coming off a final four this says they averaged 7400.

Like I said in my post, they averaged 10k during conference play. Your list is an average for all games. I was looking at last year so we might be arguing different numbers but no way would I ever be in LA and go watch them smash some G5 program when there is a world of options available. 10K still isn’t great for a 14k stadium but with the state of PAC basketball I don’t blame them. Will be interesting to see what kind of bump (if any) there is in 2024.

I appreciate you, not their rambling drivel.
I actually like them. Never heard of them until someone linked them in this thread. Not everybody can be breaking news. There’s nobody associated with us putting out the content they do.

Take it as a sign from God. A blessing from On High

Haha! But CF will then be without my inspired wit and knowledge!

:)
Yes, count your blessings. :)

From exactly 282 years ago today (and posted a half-hour ago on Twitter):

"Preacher Jonathan Edwards' sermon on July 8, 1741 was not only fiery but astonishingly memorable: "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.""(Enfield, Connecticut).

As one of my history professors summarized it, “God’s gonna kick your ass!”

Maybe it's a good thing I cannot see that. Haha! And I don't think I'll look it up. I got enough problems and sins to contend with. :D

I’m off the charts skeptical of Baylor athletics in all the major sports but I like that yt channel. They cover the entire Big 12 in a complete way.

Edwards isn't so bad. He could preach fire and brimstone, and that sermon is what most people know him by--however little that is. But it is a bit out of character.

From one of the Further Readings links at that Connecticut history site:

Edwards was reared in a preacher's home in Connecticut, but while in school at Yale he began to doubt his family's theology. He later wrote, "From my childhood up, my mind had been full of objections against the doctrine of God’s sovereignty in choosing whom he would to eternal life, and rejecting whom He pleased; leaving them eternally to perish, and be everlastingly tormented in Hell. It used to appear like a horrible doctrine to me."

While still at Yale, Edwards had a conversion experience and became convinced of the opposite, that God's sovereignty "very often appeared exceedingly pleasant, bright and sweet." Edwards had become convinced of the Calvinist view of God and humanity. Human beings were fallen, totally depraved, and deserving of an eternity of punishment in hell. God graciously plucked some, the elect, from that fiery fate. Edwards's view of God transformed from that of a capricious, uncaring tyrant into a loving, gracious father.

Thursday, by the way, I happened across an excellent history of the Dutch in New York City -- where Edwards would later take his first preaching job -- then, still called New Amsterdam.

The Island at the Center of the World: The Epic Story of Dutch Manhattan and the Forgotten Colony That Shaped America (2004)

The link there is to Amazon, where I bought the Kindle version. I haven't read a lot yet--enough though to see it clearly interesting and well written.

The history of the Dutch period was previously written by the English (the "winners' history"), apparently. This book was compiled and written centuries later, from the old Dutch records people pieced together from various places.

ISUTex, so you are ok with it, not being able to see the tweets posted here?

I can't see the tweets posted here any longer, since being blocked. I find it very difficult to follow threads on CF now, which are heavy with twitter links. I do miss that.
Might have something to do with your browser. I can see linked tweets on my phone, but starting a few days ago not on my laptop.
