How the **** is UCLA worth the 100 million to get into the Big10 but Oregon only worth 30 million?
Whether Thompson is accurate or being genuine is another question. But he did not say the PAC average was 30 million
UCLA was supposedly subsidized by USC.
But I agree the numbers don't add up- at least if the BIG is making this about money.
If the BIG has USC, then the added value by UCLA is not that much larger than Oregon. Or larger at all imo. They already have the So Cal market, and the national pull better for Oregon. So even if at $80 million, if UCLA is $30, that means USC would need to be $130. Which would make them so much higher than any other PAc school, that the PAC is getting absolutely crushed without them. And those are BIG valuations, and go down if in PAC, and even more down in a USC-less PAC.
