If I understand correctly, this is essentially ESPN selling off some of their ACC rights (through a third party) to the CW.

These aren't the espn ACC network games. These are the Raycom games (tier 3)

So back in the day, I believe Raycom televised Big8 games. Raycom produced the games and sold to local stations. WHO, KCRG, etc.

Is that what Raycom's relationship was with ACC? Very back to the future.

Yep. Same thing I believe. They were with the regional bally spprts channels on the east coast. Formerly Fox Sports regionals. Big step up for the ACC going from that disaster to CW for their T3, which is nationally broadcast. Idk about $, but this has to be one of the best t3 deals of any conference in terms of availability and coverage.
