...and I swore I heard an overrated chant. Unless some sort of self troll that chant needs to stop. Especially when down to lower ranked team.

I've had season tickets for a long time and I don't ever remember hearing an overrated chant in Hilton

I STAYED THE COURSE BUT DID NOTICE 2 jHAWK TWITS LEAVE THE EAST CYCLONE ALLEY JUST BEFORE HALF TIME, USHERED OUT BY TWO COPS. Went down and talked with the usher since they had sat there for almost the full first half before taking off their jackets, thus exposing their blue J-TRASH SHIRTS. Usher said they had other people's IDs, including one girls ID, which they covered up the pictrure of her on the Id with their thumb when showing to get into Cyclone alley. Cops took the trash out and to the north of Johnny's. Was told they kicked them out of the SE door next to Johnnys place. Usher said they forgot to confisticate the IDs.

You don't need to leave early to be an embarassment. Are you on meth?

Why does it matter to you whether they're in their seat or standing at the wall?

Because they don't just stand at the wall they crowd the whole concourse. It is a pain the in *** if you are trying to come and go to the bathroom. Surprised a fire marshall hasn't said anything to ISU yet.

We left early and I was hoping it would start a comeback. I don't mind missing the end of a game if I caused us to win. I also don't mind if it pisses people off. We had our reasons and it's nobody's business.

It always amuses me when people blame the fans for leaving or whatever.

The Fans don't play the game, the Players do, if your mad blame Our Players and Embiid (sic?) !!

KU did not beat us but Embiid sure did and lack of size against KU is a sure way to win One out of Nineteen games.

We either recruit better players or we keep on losing to KU, its just that simple.

Go Clones Beat the ShortHorns!

<insert comment about factors of a true fan....ask how much others donate....justify any games I missed or had to leave early...question how KU fans got tickets.....crucify anyone who sold to a KU fan...bash old people....bash Cyclone Alley...justify my right to swear in public...propose a better system for student seating....opinion on standing in the concourse area....>

Going to the bathroom during the game!?!? You're a bad fan! You're not doing what I do at basketball games! Rabble rabble rabble.

You are right. It is your decision and really nobody else's business. And there are some decent reasons for leaving early. But when as many leave early as did last night, I think it has the potential to impact the game, especially if there is any substance to the concept of Hilton Magic. Commentators often refer to how intelligent our fans are. Last night, they commented on how unusual it is for fans to cheer even more loudly when the team is not performing well in order to encourage them. Hilton Magic isn't just loudness when the game is on the line. It is fan support when our team is down and might benefit from the encouragement. I have a hard time thinking that all the people who are leaving have good reasons to do so, especially when it detracts from Hilton Magic.

I won't personally confront a stranger who leaves because I don't know their reasons. But I do ask the people I know to stay and encourage folks around me to stay.

I was disappointed to see fans leaving when we still had a shot. A two possession game with under a minute left has been won by the home team many times, and Hilton Magic is us fans. How many times have you heard players and CFH say that they drew off the energy from the crowd to help them finish strong? How many times have you seen the opposing team miss FTs because of the noise level?

I've been going to games for 30+ years and have seen some miracles take place , even before the 3-point shot. Beating #2 Minnesota after being down 6 with 26 secs left as an example. Coming back on OSU, after their best FT shooter misses two crucial shots (a game CFH played in). Heck, even Gesell and Marble missing late FTs just this season.

I understand some people leaving -- old people struggle when caught in the crush, people not feeling well. I just wish some of the fans wouldn't assume the outcome so quickly. Our team didn't give up, and as fans, I think we should try to stay to the final bell, win or lose.

I don't like seeing a mass exodus of fans before the game is over from JTS or JHHC, but I really try to keep my mouth shut to individual fans because while I know not all of those fans have a legitimate excuse for abandoning the team, I also don't know which ones do have a legitimate reason.

I always had a rule about never leaving a game early but one time I gave in at JTS because I was riding with my brother and his family. I thought what harm could come since we were down by 17 late to UNI and hadn't even been playing that closely? Well...

To make matters worse, my brother stopped to hit the head while the rest of us left the stadium. We were going to meet him in the parking lot. Well, we waited in the parking lot listening to roar after roar from the crowd because he never got out of the stadium and watched the rest of the game. I don't think I said a word to him that whole ride home.

Those players played with no heart and gave the fans nothing to cheer for, usually I agree but as a top ten team getting embarassed like that at home is awful

Absolutely horrible post. The guys played very hard, effort is not a problem. Sometimes the shots don't drop.

Terrible post.

Really? Players? Way to play like Sh@@. Why stay and watch that when it's past 10 and you're facing an hour long trek out of Hilton's parking lot? Don't tell me they're kids. They're men. They need to nut up like men.

Terrible post.

For having one of the best home courts in the nation we sure do have some terrible fans. To those of you criticizing the players, where do you see the lack of effort? We forced 24 freakin' turnovers. Poor shooting is not an effort thing. It's not like Georges said "meh, I don't really care if this shot's going to go in so I'm going to short arm it." The guys played hard and it wasn't their night.

If you wanted to leave early because it was late, I have no issue with that. But goodness do we have a whiney fanbase. We have far exceeded expectations and are a top 10 team (likely still within the top 15 even after last night). Need I remind you, five years ago at this time we were a .500 team headed for the bottom of the Big 12. Quit with the entitlement and enjoy what we have.

Finally, to the family sitting in 239 row 11, leave and never come back. I've never heard such ridiculous (and uninformed) negativity.

Of course, you can leave whenever you want, but that doesn't address the question of whether it actually impacts Hilton Magic when so many are doing it. Do you really not think it has any possible significance that hundreds or even thousands of fans are leaving while the game is on the line? Doesn't that weaken the essence of Hilton Magic?

I stayed until the end, but I think you could see the writing on the wall at about the 2 minute mark. It just never felt like we were going to come back and put up a fight. It was late, people were frustrated... I see no issue in leaving early.
