Australian punters are apparently like Dominican baseball players. "Ya, sure, 18."

I am confused by this signing . Downing is around next year, and I thought the staff already had a commitment from some strong legged punter/kicker coming in the following year. Are we going to have two punters on scholarship at the same time for several years. What am I missing?

Love to listen to Australians talk. They don't even have to be saying anything particularly interesting and it still sounds cool as hell.

According to Jared's article, Downing is a senior in 2017 (confirmed on website roster). Dunn is committed for the 2018 class, so he won't overlap w/ Downing.

I love Aussies. I have been thinking about moving there for years. Welcome aboard, and enjoy all that Iowa... well just have a good time.

From what I understand he can kick both Traditional and Rugby style. He is also very comfortable kicking both ways.

Coming from CCSF, does that make him the next Steele Jantz?
