We will stay with him. He will be ready to go his freshman season. ACL is not that bad anymore. They got it down to pretty much an 8 month recovery and usually back if not close to 100 percent. Darn close. This won't affect his ISU career. Just his Dowling season.

Only one at Iowa State that I know of is Angel Dominguez. He tore his ACL at the beginning of last football season(end of August, I believe) and he is now on campus. Other than that I have no idea. Doubt he'd do much of that at Toledo, as they were probably the ones trying to swoop in on the kids who got hurt.

Did Denver Johnson tear up his knee before or after ge got on campus? I want to say he got hurt during spring practice his freshman year, but I can't remember for sure.

That is too bad. With an appropriate brace, it is possible to play oline without an ACL, speaking from experience. Good chance I worsened my meniscus doing so, but glad I was able to play. Of course I didn't have fb scholarship to look forward to.

Roberto Garza played OL in the NFL for a decade with no ACL. Also I am pretty sure John Elway had a torn ACL in one of his knees for most of his career as well.

It's better to happen now than later. He has all year to heal, and all of his RS freshman year here too. Obviously a bummer he can't play this year though.

If you decommitt, I've heard that the staff puts you on a plane and you end up in a foreign country without money, ID, or a passport.
