So I haven't seen the movie, but based on the commercials, it looks to have some cool looking air battles and some cheesy pan cam shots of the acting scenes, coupled with questionable dialog/acting.

I love tora tora tora and loath pearl harbor so this probably has the same feel of flyboys and pearl harbor to me.

I'm interested on your thoughts if you have seen it/ if you are excited to see it.

I have only seen one preview, but this appears to me to do to a great true story what Pearl Harbor did to, well, Pearl Harbor; and that isn't a good thing.

The movie Tuskegee Airmen is the same story just done 15-20yrs? ago. and I always liked that movie, but I was a bit younger so memory may not be that accurate on the quality of movie. Check it out on IMBD alot of good actors who have since "made it".

That commercial where they play loud techno music and show the characters using modern street slang in WWII times makes the movie look awesome! Like a history book come to life! :jimlad:

I wasn't interested in this movie until I saw Lucas's interview on the daily show. Seems a bit more interesting now. But I agree with above, Lucas + new movie = crap

Yeah "street slang" were the words I was trying to say in the op. I loved men of honor, it would be nice if it were mixture of that and Memphis bell, probably won't happen.
