That list is a joke. 95% of those guys have no chance of playing pro basketball.

If you declare early, the NBA will give you a free assessment of your skills, strengths, weaknesses, and likely draft position. So it's a chance to hear from the league on what you need to improve to get a better draft position.

Plus, there seems to be this notion of brand recognition associated with declaring early. As in, if you declare, it improves your stock a year or two down the road, because people have heard your name before in association with the draft. Personally, i think that's hogwash, and it doesn't improve your chances at all, but that's the conventional wisdom.

They have a better shot at playing oitcher in major league baseball than to go NBA.
