You must have made out like a bandit today?????Buy GME calls tonight short expiration and this thread is all a moot point. I'll see y'all at the end of the day tomorrow.
We set up a trust last year, went in to update our wills, and the lawyer we worked with said that by having everything in a trust, it will be cheaper once we are gone for our kids to move everything over to them quicker and cheaper. I think it was less than 2 grand to set up.I will be setting up a trust so the kids will only be getting a certain % each year once Im gone. Or I might just spend it all in hookers and blow.

Hopefully someone did but it wasn't me, I was mainly kidding. Down big premarket today, not sure if that means the rides over or not. Only Keith Gill knows at this point. You must have made out like a bandit today?????
Are you following him on Reddit?
Will see what his youtube deal is today. I see GME is planning to issue more shares than what they stated previously.Hopefully someone did but it wasn't me, I was mainly kidding. Down big premarket today, not sure if that means the rides over or not. Only Keith Gill knows at this point.
It can be a roller coaster, but you have to think it will provide market beating returns over 5 or 10 years. They are clearly the leaders. As long as Jensen is there I am in.It's so hard not to jump on the NVDA assent. What an amazing story
I sold about 90% of my shares last October--November. Owned for just short of two years. Pigs get slaughtered and I have been slaughtered before.... wait for a rebound? buy at a lower price? Coulda shoulda woulda........ oh well. It's so hard not to jump on the NVDA assent. What an amazing story
Yep. Quicker and cleaner. We have ours set up so there can't be any fights among the siblings. Seen too many times where one kid is in charge of all the probate/estate stuff and they take forever or it just devolves into arguments and fighting. We set up a trust last year, went in to update our wills, and the lawyer we worked with said that by having everything in a trust, it will be cheaper once we are gone for our kids to move everything over to them quicker and cheaper. Shouldn't say no fights, cause if more than one wants my heavily used shoes that I use to mow, well then they can arm wrestle for them.
Maybe, but it is the way you set it up. They can still fight, but the trustee has the hammer. We aren't having any of the kids be the trustee.I've seen back to back family inheritance situations with a trust.
They've both been an absolute train wreck. Relationships destroyed even with the best of intentions.
So, everyone, don't die.

Yeah a trust is no different if you don't have someone impartial and without as much vested interest as the trustee. Families can change and individuals can change over time. We haven't seen anything as extreme as guns pulled, but verbal fights and conflict dragging stuff out.I'd say that's a good start on the trustee. The second of these issues actually had a little gun play. Don't know how that part of the family will ever make amends.
What seems straightforward and settled often isn't. "Experts" come out of the woodwork. Accusations are made. Threats. Guns pulled.
Both situations had a trust. Both were set up to make it easy. Mo money, mo problems
Truth. Absolutely. Part of my plan, however, is to pass on generation wealth and hope that it continues to build and offer opportunities myself and previous generations didnt have. I love the idea that my kids, their kids, or whoever down the line could take some of that and get a headstart on entrepreneurial type endeavors. On the other hand, they could just spend it frivolously and put the family back where it started. That does happen.
Something like 90% of the time, when people pass on HUGE amounts of money, it's gone by the 3rd generation.
