Cornerback is a funny position. He could be doing great, and never hear his name called. I suspect he'll do well but see a decline in stats, partly because teams won't throw at him and partly because it's tough to maintain the level of play he achieved last year, even for a guy in his prime.

Agreed, they always showed his highlights from last year, and the 2-3 fluke ints. he had.

Who didn't see this coming? Although I think the Jets are vastly overrated, they're not going to ruin what they feel could be a Super Bowl season by not signing him. Your window of opportunity is so narrow in the NFL that you have to jump on it while you have the chance.

That being said, I hope he crashes and burns. All this fuss after one good season disgusts me. Take Peyton Manning. He, more than anyone else, deserves a contract extension for the rest of eternity, but has said as long as he's under contract, he's going to play and not make a fuss out of it.
