Actually, the Rockets are presently in the 7 hole, ahead of Utah.
Agreed as of now. When the Lakers talk about moving up to the playoff list, they were eyeing to take the Rockets out who since squeaked ahead of Utah.
The Rockets just cut forward Tyler Honeycutt (traded recently from Sacramento) from the Vipers - one less forward for Royce to compete with.

Thanks for posting the video and starting this thread. Like everyone else, I'm impressed with his free throws! They look great. Next step will be to keep them consistent. If/when he makes the Rockets' squad I'll be interested in the NBA for the first time since Jordan was playing.

Go Royce. Glad they are finally giving him extended minutes. Hopefully he finishes the DLeague season strong, has a good Vegas summer league and is ready to contribute to the Rockets next year. #Progress

I realize he needs to get in better shape but for as massive as royce is, he seems to really struggle finishing through contact. Leaves a lot of his shots short. And I don't mean just this video he struggled while at isu as well

He's totally revamped his free throw motion, and it was pretty consistent throughout. He'd have averaged 5 pts a game more for ISU last year at least with the kind of consistent free throw success he had against Austin in this game.

I still want him to be a successful NBA baller so bad. If he can find a way to finish after contact and hit his free throws consistently he'll be a valuable commodity with the way he handles the ball and can dish it to the open man.

Good for Royce! If he can make it through this next offseason with no more issues, he'll be in the NBA.

Agreed, at least his FT stroke looks MUCH better and pretty consistent. One thing I did notice though was that after every shot that he made, he sprinted back down the floor. Every one that he missed around the rim, he stood flat footed looking dejected while everyone else took off the other way. Not good if you are trying to earn a spot in the big leagues.
