Scariest thing to happen to you?

Anybody have any good stories about scary stuff that's happened to them, or their friends? Nothing too crazy for me, although once when I was probably 9 or 10, me and a friend went down to the creek after dark. We were walking along the bank when we suddenly heard something moving in the trees, then it made a sound really similar to the smoke monster thing from Lost. Really scared the **** out of us, and we booked it back to the house. Still not sure what it was, and still won't go down there after dark for the life of me.

My ex-girlfriend in high school had a haunted house. When she was younger she was the only one at home her parents and siblings were out of town. She went outside on the tramboline for a bit when she looked up she saw a lady standing in the window watching. She thought her mom was back, she went inside and there was no one there. She also said she woke up with a lady standing at the foot of her bed a couple times, one time the lady walked down the hallway. Lets just say we always went to my house at night, never stayed at her house.

I was going door to door selling fundraiser items in a relatives neighborhood when I was younger. A older guy in a trench coat started following us, was acting really odd walking toward us so we cut through yard and got back to the house safely....

I was in the back seat of a 2-door, my brother was in the front. I was leaning forward and against the side of the car (which was actually the back of the passenger side door). He opened the door and out I went.

Another time I was driving along in my car. I could not find my keys for the life of me. Every stop light I was looking all over every seat throwing **** around trying to find them. My roommate wasn't home he had gone home early for Thanksgiving. I was going to locked out of my place for quite awhile. I later found them in the ignition. Scared me

While in the Navy, some dumm @ss (not me) screwed up a cold start up and had the reactor within 2 seconds of going prompt critical.....

Riding across Clear Lake in a friends boat as soph in college late at night when a boat with no lights came out of no where straight at us. Thank god this friend turned left and so did the other guy, otherwise we are all dead in the water. We tried to find the guy but had not luck.

Plus Clear Lake is gross, so drowning in it would've been even worse....
