@GoodmanESPN: Iowa State redshirt sophomore Sherron Dorsey-Walker is transferring, sources told ESPN.

@SDW_RealNICE: On my amazing journey, I was fortunate enough to stop in Ames. Wouldn't take anything back. Gonna miss it. #AlwaysOne!

Hope SDW finds a place where he can get a lot of minutes; glad he was a Cyclone for 2+ years.

We all new mins. would be hard to spread around with this team.

I can't blame the kid for wanting more time. Best of luck!

Jeff Goodman has really been stalking ISU lately.

I can't post the tweet from work but I just saw the same thing.

I wish SDW the best where ever he lands.

inb4 "this opens a scholarship for a transfer at semester!!!!

No, it doesnt. Scholarships are awarded for the whole school year. This was all covered last year when Bluford left and Mckay still had to pay his own way spring 2014

Way up there
Not a shocker, decent player, kind of got lost in the shuffle. Should be a solid mid major guy. Good luck to him, he always seemed to be a great teammate and Cyclone.

What's interesting? If SDW was going to crack the rotation, he needed to do so early on in the year. Unfortunately for him, he didn't and now he knows that he's locked out. As long as he transfers somewhere before the first day of class in the spring semester, he will be eligible next year like McKay was this year (as soon as the fall semester is over). The timing makes perfect sense, and it's not as though this is a huge surprise.

If true, I will miss him. Seemed like a good kid and a good ball player. I don't blame him though. It must be hard to sit on the bench when you believe in yourself and know you're a good player.

ISU just has so much talent right now. I think he'll find a place to play and he could be a big-time player for the right team.

Good for him, he's worked hard, deserves to play somewhere.
