As we all know each team in the XII goes on the road at the end of the season to play one team on their senior night. I always hate that away game because no matter who the team is that you are playing they always play with ton of emotion and they are tough games.

That brings me to my gripe....lucky ISU has to play two teams on the road on senior night. KSU and TCU. Who's the "lucky" (cough, privileged, cough) team to NOT have to play a team on senior night? Not KU.......TEXAS.

Nice conference, nice. Makes me even happier that we swept Texa$.

Oh well, gotta take what you're given I guess. We are better than both KSU and TCU so we should still beat them senior night or not.

Is it really that big of a deal?

Obviously I do think it matters. Look at it this way, there is a ton of emotion on those nights. Seniors don their uniform and play for the last time in their arena in front of their fans, classmates, teammates and families.

I thinks we can all agree that winning on the road is hard, no matter who you play, so placing senior night on top is huge. The margin of victory is small and this makes it a bit smaller. I look at it like when a coach get fired or a star player gets hurt, how many times does the that team rally the next game and 'win one for the gipper'.

I'm not saying we can't beat these teams and we have to play the cards that are dealt, but it is crappy to force one team to play on two senior nights. Just my opinion.

Hey stat geeks...this would be a great analysis. Is there a statistically significant improvement in winning percentage on senior night compared to other home games?

Exactly, Forte hits a FT and our streak is broken to a pretty mediocre Okie State team

They were pretty damn good actually, just couldn't play well together.

Nash, Forte, Smart, Brown...pretty good lineup. Should have been contending with KU last year.

Oh for sure the talent was there. My point was I don't think Senior Night really does much, two of our best players were seniors and we really should have lost at home to a 9 seed

Geez, gotta get back to the "should win" again, aye? Kansas and OU are BOTH BETTER than KState, too. And we know how those games both turned out!

C'mon, do you really think the conference has it out for ISU that bad? (As if it's even a big deal). Wow.

On the flip side, among the Big 12's top 8 teams, Texas is the only one this season to have 2 two-game road trips that didn't include TCU or Texas Tech. That's a bigger deal than this Senior Night issue.
