But in those years MJ "wasn't getting it done" he wasn't disappearing for a whole quarter like Lebron last night.
Yeah, and in years without Pippen (and even with he and Grant) he didn't always make the finals either.

That pretty much the point. Even the GOAT didn't do it by himself. The game was also different back then. It's just really hard to compare across eras. You could make a good argument that if physicality was demanded more, LeBron would have even more of an advantage if he had to adapt. That said, his roster right now isn't very good. Wade disappears, Bosh never appears. The only people giving him anything are Miller from 3 and Birdman in terms of hustle.
Jordan's supporting cast in those finals outside of pippen, grant and rodman was a joke.
Roster now isn't good?
Wade is a finals MVP
Ray Allen is the greatest 3 point shooter in history
Bosh is/was a great PF although I don't like how they use him
Chalmers and Cole are solid PG's that can shoot and defend
Battier is an elite defender who is capable of making 3's
The only thing the Heat are missing is a true big, but that roster is stacked with talent. Just because the talent is playing up to it's potential right now doesn't mean it's not a great roster. You don't win 27 games straight with a bad roster
It's funny how people remember Jordan. It's like he never missed a shot, never lost, and never struggled with his shot.
In 1996 when Jordan won his 4th title this was his stat line. Is that any better than Lebron's last night?
5-for-19, 22 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 turnovers
Wade has disappeared. Ray Allen hasn't done much of anything. Bosh should still be in his prime but he is making nothing. Chalmers has been a liability for most of this series. Cole has been alright. Battier hasn't even played much. When Mike Miller is you second best performer you are going to be in trouble. On paper that roster should win. In practice that roster has sucked for a lot of the playoffs. We are looking at a shell of a lot of those guys, much like what LeBron had to work with in Cleveland.

One bad game pulls that average down. That was a very bad game. No doubt. I'd the goal of the finals was to score 22 every game, I'm sure LeBron would have taken 30 shots until he got 22. But LeBron can control a game scoring 17 and having 10 assists. Scoring is not everything.
That's not the point and not what you said. Are those guys struggling? Sure. But you didn't say that. You said, "That said, his roster right now isn't very good."
That's simply not true. It's the best roster in the NBA by a mile. Just because they are struggling and guys aren't playing to their abilities doesn't mean it's not a great roster.
How dare you use facts when talking about jordan. You will probably be banned.
I think we can all agree, jordan was not as good as 99% of people remember him to be(thanks Nike) and LeBron will never be as good as jordan was in peoples memories. He may however surpass him in ever statistical category.
If you want to compare 2 similar players, look at kobe, watch them both, kobe is easily most like jordan. Not saying kobe is better than bronbron just saying more similar (by far) to jordan
Shaq could prolly outplay bosh right now.The point isn't whether his roster is performs? Alrighty then. We just judge on the name. They should sign Iverson. Then how good could they be? What if they signed Shaq. Boy Howdy would that be a great team.
Iverson was horrible. They could sign him in his prime and had been worse off.The point isn't whether his roster is performs? Alrighty then. We just judge on the name. They should sign Iverson. Then how good could they be? What if they signed Shaq. Boy Howdy would that be a great team.

They won 27 straight games. They haven't lost back to back games since....when?
They are in the NBA Finals for the 3rd year in a row. They have the best player in the game and 3 for sure Hall of Famers (maybe 4 but I doubt it)
Tell me again how the Heat roster isn't any good? That's a ridiculously inaccurate statement. Their roster is loaded.
Certainly. Kobe has the game of Jordan. LeBron really doesn't. Of course people will bash Kobe and say that he needed help to win. Of those three guys, who still made it to the Finals and had great teams with the least help? MJ and LeBron without question. Then you have to split hairs between who had less help between those two. Now, who has done less with more? LeBron and Kobe, no doubt.
So Jordan's team of Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Toni Kukoc, Steve Kerr, and Ron Harper was less talented than Kobe's team of Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Derek Fisher, and Trevor Ariza?
