Defense. We always break. I think we need to switch our defensive style. Every year our defense is horrible. Glad to see the offense is coming around. Either that or Texas has a horrible defense.

Bend but don't break doesn't explain the last drive. Cluelessness over letting receivers get behind you when you already know Texas needs yards was the problem.
The rest of the game? Dunno. My guess though is if you expect our DBs to go 1-on-1 with Texas they would have put up a lot more than 48 points.
Am i the only one who saw them put 48 on the board. Look l like Wally also but we continue to be the big 12 worst defense every year.
ISU blitzed more tonight then I can ever recall since Wally has been here. There was hardly any bend dont break going on. Dumb thread.

With exception of giving up 41 vs. BYU, no other team has come even close to scoring 45 on UT this season.
No other opponent has given up 48 to Texas. Remove North Texas, and the combined points Texas had scored this year was 81 — in five games.

You do know that we were in the exact opposite of bend but don't break the last two plays, right?
This defense this year hasn't been bend don't break. It's nothing like the defenses we have seen before from a coverage/pressure standpoint. I have a feeling a safety was supposed to help Brackens and even though Nigel didn't make the plays, with one exception, he was in great position. He tripped on the last one and UT made a great play on another.
People would complain if you were in prevent and they worked it down for a long FG too. Wally went for it and got beat. The loss sucks but at least we seem to have a life. We got nothing given to us offensively.

When did we play bend but don't break? We NEEDED to with 20 seconds left but DIDN'T, and we got beat deep twice.

For having two defensive minds at 3 of the top positions we sure stink defensively.
This this this...look I realize our offense has been pretty horrible for years but our defense hasn't been any better. And before everyone starts yelling well that's because there on the field so much blah blah blah...get off the field on third down. That argument drives me nuts.
Omg the people that defend the defense year in and year out are morons. Look how many points are scored on us every game. That includes fcs schools. Yet you defend this. Call people names for calling them out. Unreal. Its not bend dont break because we break everytime. Get a clue people. You cant give up that many points every game and defend it.
