Hmmmm what happened the last 8 years that likely isn't going away? ....... 50 was a knee jerk reaction, but you can be sure that we won't see 5 an ounce ever again.

right now....I'm going with nowhere, but maybe if it drops another $10 an ounce. Yeesh, still way high for me.

I haven't used them but looks like decent prices:

$20 - $10 /= $5. I never said it was going back to $5.

I've used Kitco for years for bulk purchases, but Monex is just as respected. Both have good web sites to research.

If you're buying as a bottom-line fall back hedge, you might take a look at their 'junk' silver bags. This is actual US coinage of 1964 and earlier that was 90% silver. It's treated as bullion, but it has the advantage of still being legal tender.

They sell new precious metal coinage, if that's all in which you are interested.

Are you looking to accumulate silver so you can bury it in your yard and mark it with an X?

That is a crazy chart. It seems to indicate massive market manipulation. Were there a few sellers who made a fortune by dumping huge amounts at $50?

Exactly. We're not going back to 5. I'll buy at 20 all day even no one is selling right now.
Thread revival...howzat buying at $20 feeling now?

We're getting close to a bottom now but still need one final swift down draft. I'd be looking to buy at <$1,000 gold. Probably won't buy any physical this time and stay with miners and some options or etf's.

Edit, should probably note that i hold a few miners atm and a crap load of short-term GLD puts.

Sorry, I used to believe that but its just not true. Cost me quite a bit of money but lesson learned. All markets must go up and down.

Owning and holding on to too many miners after 2011. Always a time to buy and a time to sell. I made some too but in the end its probably close to a net zero.

Treasuries are sold in increments of a million dollars often times and can be used as collateral at brokers. They could care less about a tiny market like silver.
