Iowa State has been a good team that has been a little pest for Kansas, but Monday night, they made a huge mistake. They made ISU mad. No longer will Kansas just be seen as the top opponent in the conference. They are now our HATED rival. They woke the sleeping giant and from now on its payback time. You've enjoyed your fun, but it's over. You are now our ***** KU.

Well we have beat them as much as anyone else since the Big 12 merger and won as many Big 12 titles as anyone besides them...although that just points to how dominant they've been.

We should add two wins to our record against them though, dead ball three game and this last screw job were clear ISU wins.

Id love a good curb stomping of KU in the near future whether it be this season or next... They have it coming from us for sure....

Id like for this to develop into some kind of rivalry with them. I have hated KU for as long as I can remember so its not hard for me to get on board.

After reading their boards after the game on Monday they had a strong dislike for us which I can't say I blame them... I ******* hate them too.

ISU has 10x the potential to challenge for the top spot in the BigXII as Iowa does in its conference.

Iowa hasn't been relevant in almost a decade
I thought Iowa was giant killers and were going to go 7-1. Unlucky the gophers already beat Indiana this week and Poison Penn State took down Michigan and Michigan State had an off night against Ohio State.

I actually think with the departure of Mizzou, the ISU/KU rivalry will really heat up.

They deny that we matter to them... but the amount of butthurt theyre showing about this game says differently.

They can see that we're rapidly becoming a program theyre going to have to worry about again. Another northern basketball school that has shown an ability to have success in the past.

Well Kstate certainly hasn't done enough recently for them to even be considered rivals of KU. Generally the second best team in the conference is KU's rival so makes sense to me

I think so too based on home courts/ attendance/ fan interest. I know K-State isn't far behind, but for some reason they can't seem to beat KU but every 5 yrs it seems.

Also, growing up I always remembered both OSU and OU having some great teams and fan interest. Neither fan base seems real interested in basketball the past 5 yrs...
