I really feel like we could have won an extra game or two last year with Shontrelle. The dude is awesome.
The 1-2 punch of him and White is freaking awesome, sorry future opp. your ****ed.:smile:
I loved the interview with him after the game. Said he had gained about 10 pounds and felt faster and stronger and more physical that he was last year. He also gave coach McKnight a shout out as well. After seeing him play today that was exactly what I thought (minus the gaining of 10 pounds) one of my favorite players on the team. Glad to see him back at 110%
I actually said this exact thing to my wife. He is good. He just has that extra something and the commentators even remarked about it. "No one ever brings him down on the first touch." Or something like that. He just has that ability to get through the line and to the next level.
I was really impressed with him today. It's obvious he's a special player. You don't almost have a career ending injury, then come back in the first game and play like he did today without having that "gamer" mentality. I'm glad he's on our team.
21 was great today. I didn't see the "first" tackler take him down all day. It took 2 or 3 guys to get him down. Thats if they got a hand on him in the first place!
Great game Shontrelle! You are true to your word. I saw him in Ames several months ago and one of the things he said to me was "I am coming back". Today you are back in big way. The move in the backfield on the 5 yard TD run at the end of the game was sweet.

Yes offensive line was great on run plays. Could have picked up people sooner on pass plays though.
