Chris Hassel is the worst. I think he was trying to be funny but it comes across as sour grapes, especially since he's a vocal Iowa fan.

I think they were limited and could only show the highlights once . . . and they used the newscast.

Kudos to the caller who said they should be talking more about Iowa State and less about Iowa. Keith Murphy tries to defend himself, then the next stories are about Iowa wrestling and Iowa WBB.
Last week's show was as good and this week's was bad.

Is there no one that screens calls? Every week is the same thing. The first 2-3 callers have their tv turned up. So frustrating.

As one who has screened phone calls, you can tell them to turn down the TV/radio, but you can't reach through the phone and do it yourself. (Or slap them...but that's another story)
I was thinking this during the "What's Bugging Andy?" segment - but. There's really only so much to examine with our wins. They were flat-out ridiculously awesome, that's about all you can say. They could have gone into what they think our chances are without Niang, but even by Sunday that was really old news. They sort of had to examine the Iowa implosion if they wanted to fill an hour with anything original.
i hate call-in shows - both radio and TV. I don't need to listen to some long-winded caller or people who make noises and think they are funny.
I think the rule is that nobody can show NCAA highlights until the last game of the day is over.
It was only a 30 minute show and it would have been easy to fill the time talking about Iowa State. Perhaps they are anticipating needing to do that for the next two weeks as Iowa State MBB will be THE sports news item. For now, at least, they did have some real Iowa news to cover (wrestling and women's basketball), so I will give them that. But for Murph to act like they weren't talking a lot about Iowa was silly.
