That's not good, because it's likely we'll be on probation for the phone calls right? Not sure why probation is such a bad thing... it's not like it'll be a bowl ban or loss of scholarships.

I would assume the only probation that would make him second guess coming here would be a bowl ban and that won't happen unless something else comes out nobody knows about

It isn't recommended that you cut and paste premium content from rivals, just FYI.

Lazard didn't say anything about not staying committed if the team goes on probation. My guess is no one will expect him to actually sign with ISU until his name is on the dotted line.

First thing that came up when I googled his name under the news tab and I don't have a premium acct

Yeah, in Josh Hemholdt's interview, Lazard said nothing about ISU going on probation would make him change his mind. The kid will play at ISU. He did even say an offer from Alabama wouldn't even change his mind.

Strange, it wouldn't let me view until I logged in. Oh well, my bad. Thanks for bringing the article to our attention.

Unranked tight end Matt Nelson of Cedar Rapids (Iowa) Xavier entered the St. Louis event of the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour as a player on the rise.

In the last three weeks, the 6-foot-8 player has gone from local offers of Iowa and Iowa State to coast-to-coast commodity. Arkansas, Harvard, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Stanford and Yale have joined in the recruitment.
I just ranked him high want and Mr. Meyer can play right tackle for us.

The Rivals article on Sykes said there was a trio from Chicago coming in so I guess he would be one of them, but I don't have access to see if the article lists the others.

Sykes is making the trek with a couple of other potential Cyclone recruits - outside linebacker Vontae Diggs of Downers Grove and athlete Jamal Baggett of Oak Park River Forest. Diggs claims offers from Ball State and Toledo, while Baggett has been offered by North Dakota, South Dakota State and Western Michigan.

"Vontae is hoping to get one and they wanted him to come up so they could see him in person," Sykes said. "They just started recruiting Jamal."

Diggs is a solid sized kid. Does Jamal play rb in high school now?
