Obligatory "SIAP" .... but is Sam Richardson QB still a graduate assistant? I know there was a DMR article about this in December that he was going to be in this role under CMC but the coaching roster does not list him (link below) is there an update I missed? Coach Listing: http://www.cyclones.com/SportSelect.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=10700&SPID=4653&SPSID=48392 Randy Petersen DMR articl: http://www.desmoinesregister.com/st...a-state-cyclones-graduate-assistant/77779462/

Pretty sure Sam can't officially be announced as a grad assistant until he actually graduates in May. Not sure if that impacts his involvement in this years spring practice.

Your middle backer steps right and the back cuts opposite. The outside backer is occupied with the flare pass look.

This play is indicative of what the spread offense gives you. One guy makes a bad read and the rest are too stretched to get to the speedy back.

The dbacks are the ones that should be showing up downfield somewhere. They have enough depth to get an angle.

CMC is probably trying to wrap his head around the personnel mess he walked into.

Please God send us some linebackers

Whomever the linebacker was that flowed right and allowed the gapping hole better figure it out or he will not be there much in the fall. He should of been up in that hole smacking the hell out of the rb. There was a safety flowing up where he headed. I would imagine he should of known that would happen. AM I WRONG HERE?????

We have ONE play of the MC era out. How much can we break this down. Yes both linebackers went the opposite and wrong directions. The CB on that side looked huge like he was a DE and pretty slow. However, Warren is really pretty darn good and nobody was catching him as soon as he got to the second level.

whats with the white stripes on the helmets

Makes it easier for coaches to tell where someone is looking when they watch film. Granted, players can have their head looking the right direction and their eyes elsewhere, but it gives a bright reference spot for if they're turning their head completely. A lot of teams use the tape in practice; IIRC Rhoads' staff did for a while on most of the skill players.

This is 1 play on the 3rd day of practice...no reason to get too concerned yet

We will be lucky to win a game this year if we play like that!

Wait, did you see Mike?? We gotta be the dark horse to win the big 12!

Only 1 guy made a wrong read. All the other players were covered up nicely...don't forget Warren is really good

Whomever it was [lb], I hope they don't have multiple repeats or his playing time may be slim next fall. His error really had nothing to do with the skill of the back. He didn't cover his gap. By the way, I'm used to backs making that cut back.
