Because the crowd was much louder . It wasn’t a whole lot different where I was sitting.

What’s up with the north video board? The video quality is terrible
When i looked up and saw cheer squad on the north board, for a minute I thought they were blurring out to censor something.
Its probably nearing the end of its lifespan. Which makes sense since its 10 years old now (which a quick google search says is what daktronics quotes as the expected lifespan of their video boards). Some of the panels that make up the board in worse shape than others and its becoming more obvious.
Not something cheap to replace though. (And hilton probably needs its video boards replaced too)
It looked like ****. At times you couldn't see what was going on. It may be expensive to replace, but they either need to replace it or turn it off after this season.

I told guy next to me it reminded me that it reminded me of the old litebrite we used to have in the south endzone.
I thought the sound was better Saturday than it usually is. Didn't have to stick my finger in my ear to keep it from bleeding. Maybe it was the complaint I sent in last week. Perhaps someone is actually reading them. We'll see how things sound in two weeks.
It was definitely dialed back a little.
Again the music was fine for this game..... but could NOT HEAR the PA announcer. The Kansas game was a different story.
Well section B was horrendous, but I dont go to all that many games but they are season ticket seats that a family member has, so for people that go every game it might be a frog in boiling water type situation. I emailed my input to cyclones.com through a previous provided link and was basically gaslit by the responder about how there are 61500 people and many say it was great. Whatever, I am just trying to help but clearly they dont care or I am just dealing with the low level people who have no ability to solve problems and are just trying to check the box off. I guess I need to spend some money for lower bowl if I am to attend again, never again in Section B.
Sound is a real issue. We used to have audio on both ends of the stadium, but the SEZ speakers blew out during the game a few years ago. I sit in Section 27 (next to the away section on the lower bowl) and you can hardly hear the PA sometimes because they are trying to pump sound all the way across the field from the north end zone. On the flip-side, I'm sure everyone on the north end of the stadium will go deaf from the toned-up speakers.
I must be on a different planet because the music was awful but the PA announcer was fine. Guess it just goes to show that it depends on where you sit in JTS. Probably a no win situation for the audio guys.
I feel like "fan density" is the next big advanced metric in college football. Mark it down!
I've been in section B for 10 years and no sound problems from my perspective last week. Admittedly it can be overloud when the team runs on before kickoff, they always crank it up to 11 and the speakers sound rough.
I thought the music was a little less loud than the last couple games. Had no problems hearing the PA guy. I think it absolutely does depend on where you sit, wind conditions, etc.
Ya I think it may be a problem with me, I need some noise cancelling head phones for the radio broadcast, I have problems elsewhere too with noise and freak out. Like Natural Grocers, I think I have called their corporate office 2-3 times about how loud the music is, and I am probably the only one because nothing ever changes. I listen to almost every football game with the sound off, especially if its Fox because I cannot stand listening to the announcers. In hindsight yes I need to make adjustments to how I attend these games on a personal level.
