It’s great. Another nice addition to our facilities that tells an important story. It will be here long after we are gone. I plan on getting my pic taken by it on Saturday, I imagine there will be a line.

Someone might have to explain the significance of the sculpture to KKKirk next September.

Wonder what the other sides look like, hopefully has something interesting not just a blank wall.

I doubt that pictures do it justice and you would need to walk around and see it from different angles to fully appreciate it.

Is this what the statue will look like upon completion of installation?

If so, resembles not one image/photograph I recall of JT and I would be disappointed.

That’s an image of a RB cutting in the hole….
Someone on Twitter shared this photo, possibly the only one of him actually playing in his only game. I believe that's the inspiration.

Well hell, that actually makes sense!

Would be great IMO that any media/press release would note this b/c otherwise I can’t connect the dots.

Nonetheless, not everyone can be pleased…..

Thx for sharing Cyclonscin!

Game sucked but did anyone get any pics of the sculpture or was there anything online about it? Thanks!

I saw this yesterday. I’m no art connoisseur so I have to admit that looking at these photos I don’t understand what this is supposed to look like. Maybe there are more pieces to install.

Looked it over today, there are cleats tracks in the sidewalk that say I will going to the sculpture then it will be open to walk through to signify breaking barriers. the cleat marks are actually on the south side of the sculpture which at 1st I thought was odd but when you think about it it makes since because it's about breaking all barriers not just athletic ones.

Some Trice family members will be there next weekend at the dedication which is 4pm Friday I believe.

Actually it wasn't open today the hole was filled in with 3/4" black painted plywood. I was confused by the plywood and had forgotten about the original design of the sculpture. I actually talked to the director of the ISU arts museums for probably 20 minutes or so she was to the south of the sculpture just keeping a eye on things since they want the Trice relatives to be the 1st to walk through it.
