Can those of you who are qualified educate those of us not current on the programs improvements. I'm seeing quite a bit of positive discussion on this board not ever seen before.
Appreciate it!
PS. I was a 70s kid every home meet attendee as my dad had 2 tickets. I just didn't wrestle.

We had a big time recruiting class last year that is already paying dividends. We signed 2 nice pieces for the future today, plus a 3rd kid that is a good high school wrestler.

We just smashed a decent Big 10 school in Wisconsin this last weekend.

The new blood mixes very well with the veterans and this team is gonna be Dresser and company’s best

Could some tell me why we aren't able to get a stud to wrestle the weight ahead of Carr. It seems to me it would be ideal to sharpen their skills against a NC.

Manny Rojas and MJ Gaitan are 2 studs that came in around David's weight. There weren't a lot of transfers at 157 this year to bring someone in at that weight to make an immediate impact.

In addition to all that's been said, there's definitely been a steady culture shift within the program.
It's obvious there's a strong bond between the whole team that feels like it has been somewhat lacking in years past.
There's also an emphasis on doing things the "right" way. Dresser is very open about the importance of working just as hard in the practice room as in meets. He wants to see the maximum effort in all areas.
Also, the staff seems to preach going out on the mat to push the action, score points, and not rest on one's laurels, which is a change from years past as well.
Lastly, there seems to be a strong championship mentality among the team. Dresser and Co. very much understand that mental training is just as important as physical training

That's my 2 cents on what seems to be the difference makers.
