Lots of ethnic Chinese in Vietnam in the northern provinces. FWIW, I enjoy the food from a Chinese-Vietnamese hybrid place in Cincinnati run by two gentlemen who are ethnic Chinese, were born and raised in Vietnam and 100% American NOW. Love their food!

Never have understood Chinese food snobs in America. Most places are actually run by Chinese folks. If not, RUN! lol. Seriously, if the food is a little different for the American palate, who cares? It's still Chinese influenced.

It's not like there is ONE PURE recipe for Chinese food. Just like food from any other country. It changes and adapts from region to region within the home country and is influenced by the new host country too. It's called cross cultural food pollination. :)

People need to get their snob on, that's all there is to it.

The next thing you know someone is going to tell me that Casey's pizza isn't real Italian food.

My girlfriend is from Italy and has been in the US for less than 2 years. I've been to Italy before. She also cooks me authentic meals and I also eat in Flushing a bit, which is probably about the most authentically Italian part of NYC. Casey's pizza is not real Italian food. Sorry to burst your bubble.

It might be good food, but it would be like saying French Fries are authentic French food.

Chinese food and parkour. I want a thread about that.
I want a diagram and/or chart letting me know how superior parkour is to free running, the differences between americanized chinese and authentic chinese foods, and one chart letting me visualize how little I know about these topics compared to our resident expert.

When I heard Prohm say, what is that store High Five?, oh, Hy Vee, I never realized that if it was High V, people would call it that. Without seeing Hy and Vee together, just hearing it, seems like a common mistake that I would've heard before.

Ha, I've heard the same thing from some Chinese professors that I know. the actual Chinese dishes are quite a bit different than their American counterparts.
Chinese food in China is better than in america. However, the fanbase lives here.

I arrived in Chicago for business the day the Bulls hired Fred...and I was in Kentucky on business the day ISU hired Prohm from Murray State. What are the odds?

You should go to Ohio the day Lebron's son chooses a school.
