I flew out of San Diego, had a layover in Dallas, before returning to Ames. The TCU women's basketball team were sitting in the terminal right across from my wife and I (both of us wearing ISU shirts). Then I noticed Dr. Leath and his wife got on the same plane, and she was wearing a fur coat. It just looked really odd.

Is she in her twenties and wearing nothing underneath? My trophy wife wants to know what is appropriate these days.

High school in Georgia, college in Alabama, assistant coach in Louisiana. That's kind of the deep south.

Yeah, but 10 years in Kentucky. Which is kind of like the southern midwest.

I was thinking more about the wife who is young and apparently has never left that state. It'll be a culture shock but it's not like she's coming from Dallas to Ames. She's coming from Murray (which until yesterday I didn't realize was a city) to Ames.

It's quite possible that NN hasn't even graduated yet. Or just graduated. He might not even planned to be in town at this point.

Quiet period and dead period isn't "Vacation period". Kids and parents are texting TJ and Cornell right now asking if they are going to be at ISU next year.

And they aren't committing in the next week to anyone, most likely. We aren't going to lose any recruits by waiting a week. Coach isn't waiting for the sake of waiting. Hiring the wrong guy quickly isn't the way to go about this.

Many schools here in SE Wisconsin haven't even finished classes yet. My district finishes June 12, graduation on 20th.
