Personally i always hope that the other team is at full strength so there are no excuses. thats just me i guess.

Woah big tough guy - except we know you're just talking out of your bunghole. All we've heard about last year's "loss" to Iowa State is excuses.

Well, obviously no one is seriously talking about dirty injuries other than jokes, but I don't care if we win because the entire Nebraska team has food poisoning and vertigo. I just want a W.

Doesn't really matter who the QB is. All they need is someone to hand ball to helu all day.

Helu's easier to defend if you don't also have to account for Martinez on the option.

This.

With Lee running the offense last year, ISU neutralized the running game pretty effectively - only 114 yards of rushing between Robinson and Helu, Helu only getting 24 of those yards. Yes, they did have short fields to work with, but still...

What the hell is with downgrading the ISU dline here? The last two weeks, ie the emergence of Lattimer, the defensive line has been outstanding. This the same oline that was manhandled by Texas' dline. We ran for 200 on Texas? Without Martinez the threat to run is lowered considerably and the dline can pin their ears back. Dont downplay the improvement of our dline.

I'm sorry, I can't help it, but that image in your signature makes me laugh every time I see it. It's just so, so ridiculous.

Good, I hope someone puts laxative in Pelini's drink while we're at it. I don't care how many excuses it'll bring, I just wanna beat Nebraska and be bowl eligible!!!!

I am hoping that Taylor plays tomorrow. If he isn't 100% it will hurt his running ability and the kid isn't much of a passer. If he is out for sure then I wouldn't be to worried seeing Zac Lee playing.

IMO, who plays at QB is an impact, but is not as big of a deal as some may think. We need to somehow wins some battles in the trenches. And our offense needs to play well. The play of our offense really is not linked to who they have playing QB.

And our offense has been the achilles heel on the season so far.

If for some reason Taylor Martinez cannot play; Cody Green is a much better option for Nebraska than Zac Lee. Nebraska has built their offense this year around Taylor Martinez. Cody Green is more of a runner and a better fit for the offense than Zac Lee. Zac Lee has also only put up 16 pass attempts this year. If Zac Lee plays ISU can focus more on Helu. Nebraska still has a sizeable advantage in winning the game; however, the possibility of Martinez not playing is huge!

Go Cyclones!

Oh, so like last year when the Clones weren't at all close to full strength (without starting QB, RB, and many players suffering from H1N1) for the Fuskers game. I wouldn't think any excuses would be coming from Lincoln after that one. Not one Clone touched any of the Nebby players to cause the fumbles. Not a bit of modifications to the game plan were made by CPR and staff in the 2nd half to confuse Ratface's coaches.

Yeah can see where the strong No Excuses philosophy works for you and the Fuskers. I don't think I've ever heard you guys losing a game without excuses coming out.

Assuming that Martinez does play...the question becomes how effective will he be with a sprained ankle? If he was a pocket passer QB it might not be too big of a deal. But since he is a run first guy you have to think an injury like this really limits your explosivness and ability to make quick cuts. Remember when A-rob had a sprain early this year? He was definitly not the same kind of player and our offene really sputtered because of it. I'm guessing that regardless if Martinez playes or not we are going to see a huge dose of Helu, Burkhead and their other playmakers instead of Martinez.

I think for ISU to win; the Cyclones need to take some big risks and all most sell-out against stopping Helu and go for strips on all most every occasion. It may result in getting burned; however, ISU has to take some risks when the D-line is undersized.

I am totally jacked about tomorrow's game. Go Cyclones!
