My favorite character actor. Tried several times to meet/greet at an autograph show but both times he was a no show (for health reasons I assume).
Yeah, Davenport IA. That was going to be my initial conversational item with him when we met. Asking him how long he was there and why his parents were there at the time. Had he ever been back, etc.I believe he was from Iowa.
The Rockford Files still holds up pretty well. I've made it a goal to watch the complete series. Pretty sure I've already accomplished that, but officially into season 4.

Aka Rockfish.![]()
I thought "rockfish" was coined in the episode with Isaac Hayes whose character had spent time with Rockford.
A couple years ago I started watching the Rockford Files on IMDB and I agree it hold up pretty well, especially the David Chase (the Sopranos) stuff. Margolin's Angel was always great. And as has been acknowledged, he was born to play that role. RIP.
I love the cars on The Rockford Files! In addition to his Firebird, I love see cars of the era, such as Nova's.
If I see anyone in a Ford LTD.... I'm scooting out the back.
Yes, Isaac Hayes was in more than one episode. Character's name was Gandolph "Gandy" Fitch.Yup, that was Hayes line. Back in the day when this was first on TV my rooms and I just called the show Rockfish.
