The TV timeouts are brutal. Anyone know if the length of TV timeouts has actually increased, or are we just noticing it more?
Per input from a friend of mine who works the games, they've gotten longer. Also, every Network has a different breakdown for how they want it done. It sounds quite annoying to deal with.

Can someone explain to me what a TV Timeout for a commercial is when we're on ESPN+ and all I'm seeing at the gamewatch bar is a blank screen saying their is a commercial break?
I never understood that. ESPN really can't find companies to buy ads for those commercial breaks? At least cut it back to a camera in the stadium or something besides a blank screen....

FS1 (Oklahoma game) had more breaks, but each was slightly shorter.

The breaks vary from 2:30 to 3:30 (or occasionally longer, if you're on one of the big networks).

That's how it used to be for EFL Championship games, League 1, etc on there last season. You'd just see an end camera pointing up the field at halftime. Now they're integrating commercials, but sometimes that field shot still shows up which is nice.
