The other way we think it would be fun is to start them out as one big tribe. Then break it it into two tribes and let it ride out from that point. Never merge them. Just keep them apart. They would probably keep waiting and waiting for the remerge and it would never happen

I remember one year they did 3 tribes and they allowed it to get down to just one player. Probably around the 12th season??? Not really sure. That tribe kept voting out the strongest person because they were a threat. It was almost like Survivor was trying to say "Hey dumbass's, you keep losing because you are voting out your strongest and keeping the weekest"

I believe that was season 10 which was Palau but they only had 2 tribes that season. That was the season that the Ulong tribe lost every immunity challenge and the only tribe member to make the merge was Stephenie who became the 3rd jury member. Her and the other last member of her tribe Bobby were invited back the next season for Survivor Guatemala, Bobby was the 10th person voted out that season while Stephenie was runner up.

There may have been another season with 3 tribes where 1 got completely wiped out, would have to research that some. The concept of no merge sure would make for an interesting season. Maybe even doing a season where just having individual immunity from the start and not have any tribes could really elevate the game play and alliances. This is why I keep watching Survivor because even after 18 years and 36 seasons they have been able to keep things fresh by adding new twists to the game. The 1 thing I do like is that lately they either do seasons of all returning players or all new players. When they did the mix of new and old players I never understood why the new players just didn't have a pact from the start that all returning players get voted off first since they already had their chance in the game. Would seem to be the most logical thing to do to increase your chance of winning because an experienced player usually can work a tribe and alliances to their advantage a lot better than a new player.

Survivor Palau. Stephanie LaGrosse and Bobby Jon Drinkard were the last two on their tribe. She outlasted him and everyone else on her tribe, beat him by building fire at the tribal council with just the two of them. They finally merged her with the other tribe.

Edit. Should have finished reading the thread. That was one of my favorite seasons, because I really liked Stephanie, Tom, & Ian.

Thought for sure that group was going blindside Dom and Wendell. Kind of hoping Libby would stay a few more days. Easy on the eyes.

They must have been pretty confident in the vote when Michael played his idol because I thought that would lead to Wendell playing his as well. The only vote for Wendell was from Michael. I think sometimes they make the edits a certain way so it adds more drama when the votes are being read. There have been times over the years when some went nothing like what you thought it would based on the conversations they showed in the edit.

So 2 more tribals since last post, Michael and Chelsea are gone. Wendell dodged a bullet not playing his idol this week but I think that their alliance with Laurel and Donathvan is tighter than the edits are showing us. Really would like to see Kellyn go home soon, she has been one of the top 3 or 4 most annoying players this season but keeps hanging around.

One thing though is if Laurel or Donathvan want any shot at winning it they better act soon on blindsiding Dom and Wendell because 1 of those 2 will win if they make it to the final 3.

Meh season. They have switched tribes so many times I have no idea who started where. The idols and advantages are also getting way out of hand. I get that it can add to the game but limit it to a couple a season not 10.

I’m really confused on who started out on what tribe. Honestly have no idea. I liked the split vote they did last week where they did two in one night. Although I think the same people would have gone next either way.

I think the idea to switch temporarily to two tribes of 5 was awesome and a great time for it. However, it just SUCKED how the teams shook out. It was basically the JV team and the Varisty team. Michael could not have gotten a worse draw.

Nothing says "you dont matter" more than keeping around the guy who was goign to flip on you, just because you can. Dom and Wendall are playing chess and the rest are checkers.

SeaBass - Goat
Laurel - Goat
Angela - Goat
Donathan - Goat

This is over.

Agree. They should lose Laurel next though, she's the only one who could make a solid argument at final council. Any of the others are mindless coasters and Dom/Wendall would just be battling each other for the million dollar votes.

Sebastian and Wendell both need to make a move to vote out Dom. If he’s in the final three he’s a lock to win it IMO

I don't know. I could see Wendell winning it even against Dom because people seem to like him a lot.

If the final has Dom and Wendell. I am not sure who I would vote for at this point. Both have played the exact same game basically. Donathan basically got himself kicked out. I just don't think the kid was thinking straight and the game wore him out. I really thought Sebastian and Angela would make a good run but they have both really faded the last 4 weeks or so.

Dom or Wendell is winning this if they make the final 3. I was glad to see Kellyn voted off as she has been annoying as hell. Donathan is a sitting duck at this point. You can only stir the pot so many times before becoming the target. The final 3 seems to be shaping up to be Dom,Wendall, and Laurel. I have no issues with any of those 3 winning and even if Angie snuck in I like her too.

Finale is tonight:

Dom and Wendell have played fantastic games. Both have set up a structure so that if there is any hint of a takeover, the others will just come snitch to them and they'll be gone. Not to mention they both have a real (and fake) idol. I'll be surprised if they both don't make the final. Wendell has played a little bit of a softer game so I think he has the edge right now. FWIW, he was Jeff's pick in the beginning of the season.

Laurel has been the biggest disappointment. She's had so many chances to take control of this and take those guys. She's said it in confession. I guess she's happy with the Bronze medal unless she can give the speech of a lifetime. In a secret scene, she says in confession how she's all about going after Dom/Wendell, then of course goes back to the friendship argument for keeping them. She's know them for 30 days!

Sebastian and Angie are meh.

Donathan has no shot to when the game. Doubt he even makes the final 3. He's been tweeting for fans to forgive him as he wanted to make a move and Laurel wouldn't let him...

I would vote for Dom or Wendell if I was on this jury. I'd probably be OK with Angie too, she's survived this long without making too many enemies and she has been good in challenges.

Too many flaws in Laurel and Donothan's games. They had the power to make big moves multiple times and chose not to.

I'm expecting Laurel to make her move tonight. But yes, it may be too late.
