Anybody heading up to the game tonight? Pretty cool that the Twin Cities alumni association set up some cheap ticket deals and a quick meet up with Georges after the game. Also a chance to shoot free throws on the court after the game I believe

I could have read the email wrong, but I thought the shooting free throws on the court was just after the Bulls game. I could be wrong tho! I was really considering going to this or the Bulls game, thought it would have been fun. But I am very superstitious and the T-Wolves have last all 4 times I have gone this year, and I don't want to mess with their semi-run, right now.

After game instructions if you missed your email from ISUAA:

******************************************************************************************

Iowa State Alumni,

We are excited to have you join us for the Timberwolves vs. Indiana Pacers game on Thursday, January 26th at 7:00 pm! General public doors for the night will open at 6:00pm.

Following the game, former Cyclone basketball star, Georges Niang, will be making an appearance to take a photo with the group! Please head to the bottom of section 132 after the game for seating. Due to travel, he will not be able to take individual photos.

After Georges’ appearance, you will have the opportunity to shoot a free throw on the court! Members of the Timberwolves staff will be there to guide you where to go.

I assume this went out to folks who bought their tickets through the ISUAA deal, I copied it off the Twin Cities club Facebook page. If you are looking for getting regular ISUAA or local club emails you need to make sure your information with ISUAA is up to date with a current email and that your own software settings for emails from bulk mailing don't end up in your spam or trash folder.

Local club mailings are sent for us by the team in Ames where they query for Twin Cities metro zipcode and email. We set up the events, draft the message and they edit and send (terrific support from them BTW). We have like 10,000 alumni here but only 4000-5000 emails and no real way to add to that without people updating their info.

Same! I was getting Chicago emails because that is where I moved directly after graduation and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to change it. Luckily I had a buddy on the ISUAA committee that helped walk me through what i had to do, or else I probably just would have given up.

Hopefully the ISU fans get to see Georges play some meaningful minutes tonight. And hit a 3 pointer or two.
