Alright since we're getting close to another year of football and tailgating, I'm curious. Did anyone guy anything new that they are excited to use for tailgating? I bought a new chair, very small purchase but it is an insulated chair. So come cold tailgate weather, I'll be ready.

I bought some new tailgating chairs that have flip-up canopies attached for shade. I also bought a long-overdue new cooler and I might try to get a new bin for all my tailgating supplies.

But the most urgent priority is settling on a new solution for music. We had an Ion speaker bought at Costco a few years ago that worked well with an old mp3 player we had. Unfortunately the speaker battery went bad, and the mp3 player jack battery went bad, so we had to discard them. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do next.

I'm thinking about Bluetooth speakers since they're smaller and easier to transport, but I have some concerns. First, can I find one powerful enough to work well at a noisy tailgate. Second, I'm not overly thrilled about using Bluetooth because 1) someone's phone could get swiped and 2) tailgates/games in Ames are already brutal for phone batteries, and another 6 hours of playing music won't help.

Suggestions are welcome.

If you're handy you can make an amplified cooler speaker. Self powered, loud, plus you get an add'l seat out of it.

Wife bought the 6' bench seat for our 6' folding table. The plans are to put the bench seat on top of the table to allow for more food with out take up additional ground space. She saw some last year with the same setup. Have to get a new cooler this year to.

Built a new bags set, bought a generator, will bring a tv now to watch games. Especially when we have a night game, I feel I miss all of the days action. Also got a new flag pole!
