Texas A&M fans are apparently just as arrogant as Texas fans:

Every once in a while doing something unique occurs in the form of something useful, creative and artistic.

A vast majority of the time something is unique because it's so ******* stupid and useless that no one with an ounce of pride or mental capacity would ever do it.

This yell leader thing is ******* stupid and creepy as hell.
This is creepy!

I've gotten into a stupid comments argument with a Texas fan who thinks Texas is radically better than ISU because they just beat the Louisiana Muddogs and we lost to them a year ago.

I keep pointing out there was a head to head game where we beat his team in their god temple stadium and a balanced 9 game schedule where ISU finished 2 wins better.

He's too dumb to get it.

Seems the entire state of Texas is a little Cyclone obsessed. I'll hand it to OU, they don't seem that bothered by us, almost appreciate that they have a highly ranked team to help build their playoff argument. Texas and apparently A&M...not so much.

I'm confused why they think recruiting classes matter. That is arguable one of the most useless statistics to bring up especially since recruiting classes don't always equate success.

5 Star Culture > 5 Star Players
He uses the recruiting class argument, because it's the only thing that fits his narrative. Everything being equal, he knows ISU can very well beat his precious little aggies.

Imagine being so dumb that you finish 2 games back in the standings, lose the head to head two years in a row and want to argue that you're better because of the transitive property in game one of two different seasons.

I don't even understand how you start doing this. Like I get cheerleading and all of that. However, at what point do you start coming up with all these little stupid movements and all of that. It's just so strange.

I went to the A&M game at Kyle Field back in 2001 and confirm that their chants and what not are all weird as hell. I give them credit because they have an eff ton of passionate fans but they haven't accomplished sh!t on the filed in years. A&M fans are constantly measuring their d!cks with Texas and really for no reason. Both schools have a ton of money and wealthy alumni so I've never understood why they feel so compelled to be Texas.

This thread reminds of a conversation I overheard in an airport about 10 years ago or more. I am pretty sure A&M was still in the Big12 then. Anyway, I'm waiting for my plane sitting near to 3 Texans going on the same flight. They were maybe co-workers but not necessarily good friends from what I could tell. They were having some chit-chat and I could not help but overhear it. One guys says to the other, "John, I know you go to every home game and you're more into football then I am. Tell me, what would you consider a successful requirement for any of our football coaches?" John, without missing a beat says, "I expect a head coach to win the National Championship at least once every decade. If they don't, we should fire them and try the next one". I literally sat there flabbergasted thinking any fan in the world at any team in the United States (let alone a team that hasn't won any football championships for nearly 100 years) could hold that point of view.

So, anything you tell me about that freaky fanbase will not surprise me in the least.

(the yell squad I am okay with. I wouldn't ever do it, but I appreciate what they are trying to accomplish).

I guess I'm a glass half full kind of guy. The mere fact that some second rate team from another conference has a fan that considers Iowa State worth posting about is an absolute confirmation of Iowa State's rise. Expect more of that conference degradation propaganda when OuT gets in there because it's all about qualifying for the CCG.

Well, he does say “with all due respect”, so it’s all good.

When I lived in Texas I could say any goddam dirty or off color thing I wanted as long as I started with "with all due respect" or if I apologized to the ladies beforehand.

I'm trying to imagine how it possible to grow up and be a recent high school grad anywhere in the United States in the year 2021...see that as a young college freshman...and not run as fast as possible away from that in any other direction.

I mean what 18 year old sees that and thinks "Yeah, this is where I want to be and what I want to be doing with my life". It blows my mind they get 40k human beings to sign up for that, it'd blow my mind that one person signs up.

Coaches Poll ranks us in the top 10. I'm sure this idiot knows more about talent and how a team plays week in and week out. nough said !
