Crappy teams always seem to play Iowa close. I see that happening again this year. I think they'll get upset sometime this year.

Texas gets top recruits every year. The talent is still there. Iowa flopping, I believe in that one happening.

I don't think it'll be a "flop" but Iowa will lose 2 games, one they have no business losing (hopefully 9-11) and to Ohio St. Texas has done a good job of not getting upset the last few years, I could definately see that changing this year.

While I would love to see Iowa "flop" - I just don't think it will happen. Their D is amazing and will cover for 1-2 mistakes their O makes. I don't expect them to be pretty, but I do expect them to win most of their games.

I just pray that they don't make the NC game.

Iowa definitely does seem to be a team that plays to the level of the competition. I could see them beating up Wisconsin or PSU and MSU at home but then going to Indiana and Michigan and struggling

Texas having to go to Lubbock so early in the season for a night game is going to be a tough test. I can totally seem them losing there

Is see Nebraska being the biggest flop in the Big 12.

A lot of people are thinking NU could easily go 11-1, maybe 12-0 if they beat Texas at home.

They have five road games: Washington, KSU, ISU, OK State and A&M...there's no way in hell they win all five with that offense, someone will get them

Iowa does play to the level of their opponents, and they rarely start seasons strong. As for Texas they could bee good, but its possible for 2 losses to knock them out of the top 10.

So who are this season's candidates for demotion? No. 9 Iowa looks like a letdown waiting to happen, having either trailed or been tied in the fourth quarter of seven games last season.

LOVE IT. I still stand by my call on the Sqawks. 8-4 on the regular season.

Agreed, their offense will keep any opponent in the game. I think they lose 2 of those road games.

I guess I am unsure what is meant by this. No one has played a down this year so we really dont know how that offense will be. They return 10 starters on offense which means last years O was young also I know they were really banged up on the Oline, lost 2 RBs for part of the season, a QB with a bum elbow and a true freshman backup. I really could see them lighting it up this year if the injury bug doesnt strike like it did last season. I am waiting to hold judgement till I see them play a few games. Just two years ago they had less talent but were experienced and put up a ton of points and I think they led the nation in T.O.P.
