Wow I didn't see that. That's a blatant foul.
THAT is a flagrant foul.
Regardless of the outcome or who's playing that's a player safety issue and needs action.

Yeah that was bad. And of course, no call. Last night was just insane overall.THAT is a flagrant foul.

Wow didn't see that in real time. For those that claim Caleb wasn't touched on his layup attempt. I understand the refs couldn't slow it down to 1/4 speed like I did, but it looked like a foul in real time and in slow mo replay. Joe clearly trips Caleb as he goes to jump.

Step back and get some perspective. This team was expected to take a step back this year. Not even considered tournament worthy in the pre-season. They have over-achieved in every sense. It's the truth, you're fine with 5 straight losses? I'm sick of it. We are throwing away a Big 12 title shot.
Interesting, since he wasn't officiating the game.Kelly Self is a horrible ref. Huggins worked him the entire night including the foul call on Grill in the last 2 minutes.
You do realize we play in arguably the toughest conference in the country, right? No way #11 ranked teams should consistently lose close games on the road.
This goes to the absurdity of reviewing Rob's cylinder and flagrant. You mean to tell me either one of those plays are more dangerous than what Connor McAffery's backup did here? For those that claim Caleb wasn't touched on his layup attempt. I understand the refs couldn't slow it down to 1/4 speed like I did, but it looked like a foul in real time and in slow mo replay. Joe clearly trips Caleb as he goes to jump.

It is kinda weird that the other most poorly officiated game from start to end that comes to mind is that ESPN plus game we played with the WVU grad and Brandon Weedan cheering against us the whole time was also at West VirginiaThat was without a doubt the worst officiated game I've witnessed. The game would go in spurts with referees calling everything and then calling nothing. And ISU obviously got the worse end of the stick.
The charge Rob took that got reversed, the flagrant 1 that was called on Rob, 3 extremely weak calls on Shoon, Grill getting called for a foul when he literally didn't touch the guy driving, Grill getting called for a foul when the rebounder went over the back and was called for a travel, Jaz getting outright pushed into Grill forcing Grill into a turnover, Gabe taking probably the cleanest charge of the game only to be called a block, and then Tamin being called for a charge because his ass hit the defender while spinning and the defender flopped..
It was an all out ref show last night and I don't think there was anyway we were going to win that game with how things were being called. They looked for calls when WVU had the ball down the stretch and looked the other way when we did, especially when we got down. West Virginia made 2 (TWO!!) baskets in the final 11 minutes of that game. I'm not into saying referees rigged any games and I don't think it happened here. But these referees dictated the outcome of this game. Even if Grill makes that layup (which he should've) there was probably a 75% or greater chance that we would've gotten called for a foul on the next possession.
For those that claim Caleb wasn't touched on his layup attempt. I understand the refs couldn't slow it down to 1/4 speed like I did, but it looked like a foul in real time and in slow mo replay. Joe clearly trips Caleb as he goes to jump.

That's pretty amazing since he was in Springfield working Belmont-Missouri State last night.Kelly Self is a horrible ref. Huggins worked him the entire night including the foul call on Grill in the last 2 minutes.
I was not able to watch last night but I saw enough video on Twitter to know how it went. Personal opinion, officials have a strange mix of fear of Bob Huggins and desperation for his approval.
My bad. It was Ayers that he worked the entire night.Step back and get some perspective. This team was expected to take a step back this year. Not even considered tournament worthy in the pre-season. They have over-achieved in every sense.

My bad it was Roger Ayers that he worked. That's pretty amazing since he was in Springfield working Belmont-Missouri State last night.
Huggy truly is a wizard.
He didn’t have a better view. But he was about a foot from Huggins when he called it.I'm pretty sure if you cause someone to travel becuase you undercut them, tripped them, or in any way interfered with them coming down while being in the way inadvertently or not, you have a good chance of getting called for a foul. I don't know the rule EXACTLY, but that is what I feel like the call has always been.
Now, that one was pretty close, becuase if you get tripped up or travel becuase YOU jump backwards into a man and flip over him whilst trying to secure the ball and YOU cause the movement and lack of bodily control, then it is a travel. That was a pretty close call and officials CAN over rule one another when they have a better / different view of the play.
I'm just not sure how the guy that came running in had a better view of the contact and what Caleb did than the guy standing 8 feet from the play.
I totally get how that wasn’t called a foul because it’s impossible to see…but it also easily explains that Grill didn’t just blow an easy basket.
There were about 197 worse calls and non calls in this game. But thanks to you posting that I at least understand why his finish looked so brutal.
Well now I have to stay off this website today because every time I take a look I get re-pissed.
Yeah. Sweeping the leg is something I say from the couch, not something to do in practice.
It's pretty slick of Touissant to know that the refs will be looking for upper body contact and go low instead, but it's dirty.
Or, if you will, traditional Huggyball.
They did it to Rob too. Cylinder foul after it was already called offensive. Stopped the ******* game to video review. That's like the vampire game against Kstate bad, where they over turned PI.That was the worst one for sure. You can’t just switch the team a foul was called on.
He just playing the ball though...For those that claim Caleb wasn't touched on his layup attempt. I understand the refs couldn't slow it down to 1/4 speed like I did, but it looked like a foul in real time and in slow mo replay. Joe clearly trips Caleb as he goes to jump.
