Is anyone watching this show on FX? I just got a chance to watch the first episode from last night and found it pretty interesting.

Seems like it may take on some US - Mexico border issues, but at minimum looks like a good murder mystery thriller type series.

I tried to watch and tried to like it but couldn't. Female lead character is too much of an empty vessel. I don't want to have to watch for a full season as they slowly provide the background on why she is like she is.

True, I think they are trying to convey some sense of detachment as the reason for being like she is or that is the reason why she got into the profession. They made a few mentions of it scattered throughout the episode.

Seems like the Mexican detective has a lot more character behind him. I think I will give this one a few episodes to wind up since FX is really nailing their drama in recent years.

This show takes place/filmed where I live. I live about 15 mins from the bridge of the Americans. The big red x on the border.

The few articles I read about this show, it's too early to judge. It sounded like the first couple/few episodes might tell a lot of the back story and not flow very well.

Either way, FX has had enough good shows that I'll give this one a chance for quite a while.

Is this worth watching? The commercials looked interesting so I set my DVR, but I've been busy and not able to watch it yet. The episode are piling up so I'm curious if I should make time for it, or just clear the space on my DVR.

I have watched all the episodes and I like them. It has inspired me to go around El Paso and look for cartel. No luck so far. That show is basically a documentary for me.

Yes and it is distracting from the storyline without adding anything to her character, at least so far.

Not sure if they said it directly but it has been mentioned by people involved with FX and the show in interviews that they are trying to convey aspergers.

The show itself is getting pretty interesting with more and more storylines popping out.
