Wait, isn't our conference record BETTER than it was at this time last season? I think it's time to relax...enjoy the fact that Fred has made ISU nationally relevant. Has it really got to the point that people **** and moan about not winning the conference championship? Didn't last years team finish 4th? I think people seem to completely forget the Greg years..or the Morgan years...or the last few Larry years. ISU has not been this good, this consistant for this long...ever really. Enjoy it.

What can I say, in an age with limitless amounts of crap posted in anonymity, I admire those willing to put their name to their crap.

amen. I like how he ignored several very good wins this year. Arkansas, iowa, Kansas, West Virginia, he'll even Oklahoma state.
It's not like I'm blind to those, no one is, but what is the benefit for bringing those up in the article?
I'm beginning to understand the Hawkeye "we're going to win the national championship" crap we hear every year more and more after reading posts like this one. A little success can make some lose track of reality.
We've got a winning, ranked team, a great coach, and sold out crowds every week. There are about 250 other schools that would love to say that.

There's just no substance. No point to the article. Not to mention a few typo's (see: It’s all a kick in the nuts that we are used to seeing on the football football field.). It's really not well thought out and comes off as more of an incoherent rant, as you said. Sorry to be a jerk but you should have expected a crucifixion if you posted it here. I'm not sure about your demographic but the article sounds like it was written by this guy...
I think it should be entitled the Painful Connor Realization. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that you put your name on it and brought it on here, but the expectations that you perceive have not been met are yours.

Sorry, but you seem to be confused about how the season has actually gone. Saying the last four road games (three of which were against ranked teams, and then the inexcusable loss to Tech) did not go how you expected, makes you sound melodramatic, ESPECIALLY when you consider the fact that we weren't good on the road last year either and you continually compare this year to last year.
I feel like I've posted this about a thousand times in the past couple days... ISU went 3-6 on the road last year, beating the 8th, 9th and 10th best Big 12 teams and losing to the top 7 (minus ISU being 4th, obviously). This year we lost to the likely 10th team, but have beaten a 3rd-6th range team and still have four more road games to go.
Basically you're overreacting BIG TIME to a road loss. Calm down.
