Have you compared to Amazon? Sports Authority is on verge of bankruptcy and closing stores all over. I wouldn't look for them to be offering great deals anytime soon...until the store closing sale.

what's the deal with airline food?
Well, there are many explanations for the poor taste quality of airline food.

The loud noise in an airplane cabin can significantly alter our perceptions of taste. The noise makes sweet foods less potent and umami flavors (savory or meaty) more robust.

Also, the dry cabin at 30,000 feet can evaporate nasal mucus, and pressurization may cause membranes to swell. Both of these basically numb your taste buds while on a flight. Perceptions of sweet and saltiness drop by up to 30 percent during flight-like conditions.

So you see, the food isn't to blame. It's your silly body that you should be directing your animosity towards.

The 4 year anniversary is approaching...sorry in advance to those vexed by this thread.

I just want to thank everyone for this glorious thread, it really opened my eyes to the booming slow pitch softball market. I cashed out my 401k back in 2012 thanks to this info and invested all of it into slow-pitch softballs. I'm now retired in my 30s, where I spend most of my time sitting on the beach and using my American Express Platinum card to buy things that aren't for sale. Life is grand.

So I went to Sports Authority last week to look at softballs for our upcoming season and the price has skyrocketed from like $4.99 (last year) to $7.99 per ball! WTH happened? I plan to buy a box of a dozen of them somehwhere but nearly $8.00 per ball seems pretty outlandish to me. It is the same ball too, not like they are different in any way, shape or form. Anyone have suggestions for a fellow Fanatic?

I still believe that CloneCones posts on here but not under that name. Just a theory. He was a fun goofball who was on all the time and then mysteriously disappeared because he had "work." He's posted a few times since announcing that he had "work," but then makes awkward exits.

Scheels will give you 10% off a case off a dozen which is about $6 a ball. Those are some of the best ASA balls you can buy. If you go cheap with some no name brand or Wal-Mart special you will know when you hit them.

This is a good site for anything softball: https://www.softballfans.com/

Hmm, I figured by now that anyone on CF would have made so much money on Bitcoin that you wouldn't need to worry about the price of slowpitch softballs.
