Things Might Not Look Great but....

1. We are still a 3-1 team. With new coaches, new systems, new players, etc. I find this a great accomplishment. The only loss we have is to a respectable Iowa team (I know, I know...we have only played some other mediocre teams)

2. While we have had several key players injured/in trouble/quit..football is a team sport. We have a great coach and it is time to rally the troops. We have only lost a small percentage of the starters. We should use Money's injury as a call to the other WR's to step up.

3. We are playing a struggling KSU team at a semi home field (not away). This is a winable game.

4. A-Rob. This guy has more confidence than he ever has. He is coming off of a great game against Army. He is also hiding in the shadows of other RB standouts across the NCAA which he should use as fuel to propel him into the first conference game of the season.

5. Game management. I will not elaborate but when you compare the game management (coaching, defensive playcalling, offensive playcalling, clock management, etc.) from this year to last it is night and day.

6. The kicking game. It seems that for the first time ever we actually have a placekicker and a punter

While I will admit that I am usually the first one to drink the ISU koolaid, we still have had a great start and the potential for a great season. I started out the season with the thoughts that a .500 season would be a success but now I feel that we have the right people in the right places to do better than this.

Lets keep up our spirits and continue to look forward to the KSU game.

End of rant!

Love the positive energy. Easy to only look at the bad things, and right now we still have some great things going on.

Losing Rashawn Parker is the biggest problem right now. I feel sorry for Money's injury but we are pretty deep at wide receiver. Keeping ARob and Arnaud healthy and productive is the key to the rest of the season. The developments of the last couple of days aren't devastating. I think we still have a great shot at six wins.

I thinking national championship, but really let's get one win at a time let the rest take care of it's self. Well if AA turns into tebow lite (which I want him to) then I'll start talkin 6-6; 8-4.....untill then let's have some cat for dinner sat nite

We knew it was coming, like Lucy pulling the ball, Karma being a $#!$@

Our going 3-1 upset the established order and the pendulum is swing back through.

Lets hope the boomerang and swing back takes ISU to 4-1, but I am afraid to predict what the karma cost will be for that!!

Things look great to me! After the last two non-conference season 3-1 looks great to me.

The schedule is not too tough either, we can get back to a bowl.

Problems happen every year to every team that plays.

We're off to a great start and have already made big strides over last year.

Progress is being made and that's what I'm looking for.

A better way to say it is that there really is no superstar in the mix, so player 1 is not that different than player 6.

I would say losing Marquis Hamilton would be pretty devastating.

Losing any of the others hurts our depth and is bad for them, but I can't see how any of the others by themselves will make a difference in our W/L record at the end of the year. After all, we just won 2 games in a row and Reynolds never touched the ball in either game. And nine different receivers caught passes in those games!

You mean the first time since last year?

It does help when you have a coach willing to try a field goal over 45 yards... or let the punter directionally kick, but I see your point and his as well.

Good to see we have a strong kicking game again as it really hurt our opposition so far - and may be critical in the weeks to come.

I don't buy into karma, so I refuse to believe that something has to go wrong simply because something went right, like our 3-1 start.

This is the kind of time when a team gets to look in the mirror and decide if they want some challenges to break them or to build them into something better than they've been before.

Difficult things happen to every team. It's part of life. Where the team goes from her all depends on how they respond to this stuff.

It's true to the extent that we have a lot of receivers on the team that are supposed to be talented but have not produced, including Reynolds. While I'm disappointed we lost two guys for the season, the one I'm still more concerned about is ARob. I know coach said he's fine as has ARob, I'll just wait to see it on Saturday.

I just find it ironic that last week after the win, we found out 3 players got in trouble. This week, one more is in trouble, we lost two for the season and two others supposedly quit and are "back" with the team.

Let no win go unpunished!

I understand and appreciate your perspective, but seriously, at ISU, typically about 10 things will go wrong for every one thing that goes right.
