i think we can agree that our defense has exceeded all expectations this yr by only givine up 21.5 pts/game. coming into this game i was still wary about our O but thought that our they would pull out of the slump they are in. our defense played great once again and stopped Kstate from scoring on some short drives, but what are we to think about our O at this point in the season. Count me as one who though we'd pull out of the slump but is now worried. where do we go from here?

Agreed.

The two fumbles were the plays of the game.

We were up 7 with the ball and playing confident. Catlett fumbles and the rest is history.

KState was also driving up 7-0, looking like they were going to score a TD before they fumbled. It works both ways. Both team got lucky and unlucky breaks.

The only "ongoing" problem with our D that I can see is out utter lack of a pass rush.

I didn't see the first TD by KSU. But that was the problem with the second and third. Actually, the rush was ok on the third, Lyle just missed the tackle (nice move by the QB).

I think I got to 12 Mississippi counting the time KSU had to throw the ball on the second TD.

But yes - the O continues to cough up the ball, and in bad positions. And really isn't delivering alot of scoring anyway. AA seems to need about the entire first quarter to warm up, and even then his throwing is erratic. Our receivers are dropping far too many. Can't complain about our ground game, however.

Gotta agree. Not impressed with pass selection or completions. I think running game was okay today.

This was a tough one...

What about the defense having the quarterback sacked and he gets free and throws a touchdown pass. That play is made and its a different game. Dont go throwing this one totally on the offense. Plays were left on the field on both sides. Its frustrating I agree. I really felt like we were in control of the game until the tight end fumbled the ball as we appeared to be moving the ball. It turned the game on that point. We also had more dropped passes. That part frustrates me.

True. Generally however I think the defense played better then expected and the offense worse. You can't have your quaterback throwing a barely 500 pass percentage and expect to win.

"What about the defense having the quarterback sacked and he gets free and throws a touchdown pass." True, that play was huge. BUT, in spite of that, the defense still played a great game.

"I really felt like we were in control of the game until the tight end fumbled the ball as we appeared to be moving the ball. It turned the game on that point. We also had more dropped passes. That part frustrates me." This is exactly what I'm talking about and people seem to agree with. Untimely fumbles, too many dropped passes, too may mis-throws, and too many bad reads. THIS is what wories me more than anything when we thought our offense would be a STRONG POINT this season, and it's not.

I think AA is overthinking this offense. Herman is hopefully dumbing it down for him so it is not so overwhelming. He didnt have that bad of passes last year but if he has so much in his head that he cant think it is showing. For those of you wanting to blame Herman remember the knock on AA all along has been his tendency to lock onto other players. IMO he is thinking about this and trying not to throw int's. When he does that he throws the ball into the ground.

listen people... i kno that i am known on this site as the furthest thing from an AA supporter.... so kno after watching this game, what in the hell do all of you AA lovers have to say.

AA is not the man for this job. People tell me that i should have a solution to saying that AA is bad and i have one. put anyone else but him in. if we are going to run the ball 80% of the plays then why not have tiller the starting QB, tiller is quicker and faster with better acceleration and he doesnt have that bad of an arm. AA has a mediocre arm at best with mediocre running ability. I WANT TILLER. and i know that i seem like the only person who thinks this on this website, but there were tons of fans by me saying the same thing. Im sorry I am usually in favor of whatever the team decides but I reaaaaaly want to see tiller in the game.

that is all. defense played great except a few key plays and schwartz showed he has real potential as a cyclone. I hope Arob gets better and that we can bounce back from this literally physically painfull loss.

It looks like Herman doesnt have faith in AA throwing the ball. He does have reason to think that way. AA issues are in his head, and until he steps up and proves he can lead this team the O will struggle. Its sad when your best player on O is still your best player even at 50%. Players need to step up and start making plays. The WRs need to want to get the ball and go get it when it is passed to them. Bo or Beau need to getting snaps as RB if ARob is going to be out. There needs to be a game breaker running the ball since the passing game is so bad. The D was ok they just need to learn to bring a QB down when getting pressure on him.

You probably screamed for Boozer during the Bball season. Dont you think that CPR and Herman have a better feel for what is best for this team. AA is learning a new offense, his third in four years. He shows flashes, cut him some slack and quit giving him bad karma.

If Tiller were a better option, he'd be starting. Fact is that's not the case.

If we never go into the prevent three man rush I will be happy. That is the most maddening idea I have ever seen and it works about 40 percent of the time.
