I'm certainly not looking past tomorrow night. Baylor beat us already, and that one could cost us. I hope the team remembers that too.

Where they love the governor
Hahahaha, this is from Kansas's board, sound like another Hawk team anyone?

Oh no we definitely can! You must not have heard of "good losses". Self is a master at making our team peak at the right moment, like in 2008. This means we have to lose a few in Feb to then really hit it hard for the home stretch. If you can't see that Self was trying to coach this team into a loss so that we peak come March, then I don't know what to tell you.

To be fair, we have our fair share of meltdown posters who would post something similar here.

#justwin is all this team needs to focus on. Don't dwell on what happened last night, I think Fred has the guys pretty focused right now after the 2 big road wins but they need to keep the focus on each game right in front of them and not get carried away about what might happen. MAKE IT HAPPEN! Just win and everything will sort itself out in the end.

Full blown meltdown over on KU blogs. "Streak is over"

One of my favorite posts on the Phog during the meltdown...

JayhawksFan09 wrote: It may not be out of reach yet but it's gonna be pretty damn tough now. ISU is definitely firmly in the driver's seat. Sadly my worst nightmare is coming true that the game in Norman could be for the conference. I just can't see ISU losing in Ames, and KSU is going to literally roll over for them. Can TCU beat them? I highly doubt it.

K-state will not be up for that game as they were for KU, that being said, I think they will bend over backwards to give us a W if that means hurting Kansas. Remember: the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

If any team is going to just roll over and let us beat them just so KU doesn't get the conference title outright (or at all potentially) then each one of those school's fans should be asking serious questions about their team and coaching staff. I'd love to win this thing as much as everyone but I want these last 4 teams to give us their best shot just like everyone else has up to this point. It's good for the conference and it's good for this team to be challenged on the floor every night as you have to EARN every victory from here on out. K-State still can attain the #6 seed in the Big 12 tournament and not having to play on Wednesday is a big advantage if they have any shot at all in KC. We've already seen that you can't take any road game in the Big 12 lightly.

If anyone thinks KSU is just gonna roll over and let us win they are absolutely delusional. No team or coach In their right mind would do that (even Weber). It's gonna be a slugfest in Manhattan and we better play HOIBALL or KU could be looking at #11. I think our boys will be ready.

their season is over, no NCAA or NIT. If I was a K-state fan I just want KU to be destoryed.

Fans don't play the games. You don't make it to this level of basketball if you aren't competitive as hell. There's no way the KSU players just concede the game to hurt KU.

They can still make it above .500 so the NIT is not out of the question. I doubt that is providing much motivation in and of itself, but its not like a March situation is out of reach. I'm sure their fans would love to be the end to KU's streak but the players definitely won't lay down, unfortunately.

I think what the Phog poster meant in saying K-State would "roll over" for ISU is that simply they won't be nearly as amped up for a home game against the Cyclones as they were for the Jayhawks. K-State without question played their best game of the season last night when they really don't have much to play for. It's asking a lot for them to do that in back to back games.

I would agree with the sentiment that K-State won't be nearly as jacked up on Saturday as they were last night.

With that being said K-State has recently beat Oklahoma and Kansas on their home floor... it won't be an easy game down there for Iowa State to win but I think ISU matches up very well with K-State.

A fan, maybe, but I'd also want to win.
If the players are rolling over, the program has gone down further than I thought, and I think it's awful already.

The idea that the team will roll over on Saturday is laughable, and deserves to be mocked without mercy. They'll come out trying to win. They probably fail at it, but I don't think it's from rolling over for us.

Kansas State is not going to lay down for us. Period. It's their senior night, and even if it wasn't I can't see anyone throwing a game in the Big 12 just because when they could win out and sneak into the NIT still.

Even if this wasn't possible, they don't roll over just to give us a win and hurt Kansas. If the team has quit, maybe...but they wouldn't have beaten Kansas last night if that were the case.

K-state is not laying down for us on senior day. They may not get as up for us as they did for KU, but they are still gonna give us a helluva fight.

Edit: Cokane beat me to it

KSU will give us their best shot. They want to keep their court storming streak alive.
