I guess I am the only one but I would take the win over Baylor. It would give our FB program the recognition that it got after the Okie State win. Fred has this thing figured out. He will make a run at the title with or without Diallo.

Get off the basketball thread, you're drunk!

Looks like a beautiful day for tailgating and a ton of people are out in the lots. Hope the team gets to show Diallo a great time today. It must be a really fun process to be a part of. Hope he falls in love with the school and atmosphere today.

I think we can land a transfer that can be as productive as Diallo would be for us if we miss on him but he's going to be a lottery pick. I think that is the one thing Fred is missing right now in taking it to the next level in recruiting high school kids. A one and done HS recruit would be huge for Fred and staff IMO

Is one year of a one-and-done Diallo really better than two years of Malik Dime?

I think they are both good players, and that we will be dangerous with either of them. However, landing Diallo would be a much bigger boon to future recruiting than Dime would be. Getting a top ten HS recruit that goes on to the NBA legitimizes our program, and may help garner future top recruits. Success begets success.

Agree with the above.

Let's not assume just that Diallo is a automatic one and done either. He is very talented and there is that possibility but, I believe he is only 6' 9" which isn't anything special for an NBA big and is still developing his offensive game (which has improved a lot over the summer). Right now he is so highly ranked because of his defense and constant motor. Actually I would put it just as likely if not more so that Cheick is in college two years, like Dime, instead of a one and done lottery pick,

I'm a little surprised no one reported seeing him riding around in a golf cart with Freddy through the student lots. They were stopping and talking to students and taking pictures and stuff. Pretty cool.

I hear that golf carts are better transportation devices than mopeds.
