When will they announce this,

Usually the non-conference games are announced earlier then two weeks before which is kind of normal during the season.

With it being the home opener, they should know well in advance what games are being selected for TV.

I am curious because I dont make it too alot of games, and usually prefer a full day of tailgating for the games I make it out to.

Under the previous contract, both ABC and Fox had to select their games for Weeks 1-3 by June 15.

It was just a question, I am planning my road trips for the fall and was curious about the kickoff time for the home opener.

Yes I know we have useless threads on this board about what is the best time for kickoff, but actually I am just curious about when the kickoff time will be announced.

Don't think he has a choice. Under most contracts the TV rights default to the home team.

If I was a betting man I imagine that we get picked up by FSN (has both Big XII and C-USA affiliations) and Pollard works to make sure that's the 6 PM window.

Yeah I think FSN is probably a pretty good bet. Hoping for an evening/night kickoff. 6:00 or 7:00 would be great.

Holy ****. Way to step up and schedule some quality non-conference opponents! Savannah State? Are they D-2?

Everybody in the Big 12 except Texas is playing a I-AA team this season. And Texas is playing New Mexico, which is almost like playing a I-AA team.

Baylor: Sam Houston State
Iowa State: Western Illinois
Kansas: South Dakota State
Kansas State: Missouri State
Oklahoma: Florida A&M
Oklahoma State: Savannah State
TCU: Grambling
Texas: n/a
Texas Tech: Northwestern State
West Virginia: James Madison

Notable road games:
Texas Tech at Texas State (new to I-A)
Baylor at UL-Monroe
Kansas at Northern Illinois

I was more talking Oklahoma going TO El Paso. What the hell? That's as much of a head scratcher as Texas going to Wyoming or wherever the hell it was last year.

Getting a patsy to show up isn't as easy as it used to be, many of them demand a 2 for 1 type of scenario.
