Good point. But directv is not Mediacom. Mediacom had issues like this and they can afford to let channels go blank for a few days and get their way because of being a small provider. Directv however I don't think they can afford to let those channels shut down as they are national and have many direct competitors such as dish network and local cable companies. The big question is will DirecTV still be carrying FCS on Saturday?

Yeah, I have DISH so I'm screwed
No, you are still in good shape.
Just watch Michigan destroy Iowa.
Does Mediacom carry FCS? I'm not even sure what channel that is.
When I had mediacom, you had to have the sports package. I think it was channel 173
Yep, channel 173 on their sports package.
I assume this means the game will not be in High Definition then?
Do you need the sports pack on Direct TV to get FCS? FCS is not listed on their website under the sports pack. I did see a couple of FCS channels on my guide but all it says on Saturday Is To Be Announced. Both channels currently have the Direct TV logo and music and do not say you are not subscribed to this channel.
That is correct. The Sports Pack ( $4/mo) is standard def only.I assume this means the game will not be in High Definition then?
