For those of you who know how Big XII TV time selection works, is there any chance ABC, Fox, etc could "change their mind" on what game they want next week? Any way we could sneak into the 2:30 or 6:00 slots?

I realize OU-Texas is the biggest game to a national audience but I would have to their our top 25 match-up would be the second biggest.

I seem to remember something about a 5-day rule that could be exercised a few times per year. Anyone know how this works?

It'll be on FX. I think its pretty slim that we get the 2:30 slot, and FX is national coverage. A 2:30 ABC spot would likely be regional, so I'd rather stick to FX. Regardless its nice being on national TV and not FCS or FSN

I don't believe so. Had they wanted to i believe they couldve made the call last week to use one of their 6 day selections and make the pick today instead, but as they didn't i think we're locked in.

Yeah I know I shouldn't complain about national television. But selfishly I hate the 11:00 games for attendance and tailgating reasons. Oh well- if there really have been 58,000 tickets sold already next weekend will be amazing regardless.

They can't change their mind on switching TV times around. That's why they're allowed so many 6 day picks to wait and see the outcome of the games the weekend before.

11 on FX is a done deal.

Living on the west coast now especially, 11am CST is terrible. I'll have to leave my apartment by 7:30 to make it to the Seattle gamewatch for a 9am kickoff. Oh well, by the time Friday rolls around I'll be so jacked I won't care anymore.

I totally agree 11am time slot stinks. No way to make it there in time, 230pm is perfect and 6pm isn't that bad.

Leaving for tailgating at 4am isn't the most fun in the cold, but will be worthwhile!

Interesting you mention this. I will be in Seattle this weekend interviewing for a job. Where is this game watch you speak of?

I was sort of sad to see the time moved. I will be at a wedding in KC Friday night which will be a reunion of sorts so I am sure leaving at 8 am the next day will not be done by our group. The plan is to hit up somewhere in KC (probably near P&L) to watch the game and then experience P&L in it's fullest Saturday night. Anyone have good ideas?

Do we find out about OSU tomorrow?

Yep, we will. Who is that guy that predicts the Big 12 TV schedule ahead of time?

Here's the listings for 10/20 across the conference:

Iowa State @ Oklahoma State
Kansas State @ West Virginia
Kansas @ Oklahoma
Baylor @ Texas
Texas Tech @ TCU

Pretty easy to assume that KSU @ WVU will get the marquee FOX slot. I would guess Baylor-Texas would get the next best slot and ours would come in 3rd.

My guess would be...

K-State/WV- Fox 6PM
Baylor/Texas- ABC 2:30
ISU/Ok State- FX 11AM
Tech/TCU- FSN 2:30
KU/OU- FSN 6PM

I'd hate to see KState beat us, but if they did, you'd think Game Day would be at the WV/KSU game. Of course, I am hoping after we take care of KState maybe they head to Stillwater for our game instead.

Well, but you get all the PAC 12 games in your normal evening hours. Those don't end for us until after midnight. See? It all evens out. :jimlad:

No chance at Gameday in Stillwater. Florida vs South Carolina would take it (even if both would have 1 loss). I'd have to imagine Michigan vs Michigan State would probably come before OSU/ISU. LSU/A&M probably would as well.
