There will be some good wrestling this Sunday. Anybody put together the head-to-head match-ups yet for these duals?
125- Tough matches for Kysen (2 ranked guys). 4th -Brandon Courtney (ASU) and 6th-Body Teske (UNI)
133- Hoping Redding can split these matches. 9th- Michael McGee (ASU) and 15th- Kyle Biscoglia (UNI)
141- Neither UNI or ASU have a ranked kid. However, Pete Lipari (ASU) is a past NCAA qualifier and took Demas to OT earlier this year.
149- Neither kid is ranked.
157- 17th- Jacori Teemer (ASU). Teemer and Carr have had close matches in the past, and both were highly ranked recruits coming out of high school. Should be a good match, but hoping David has separated himself from Jacori and gets a major. UNI kid is not ranked.
165- 4th ranked Valencia (ASU) will likely be a loss. UNI match is an unranked guy but a must win for Big 12 seeding
174- ASU kid is unranked, but has been in the rankings this year. Will be a tough match. Lance Runyon (UNI) is a cradler and ranked 18th. I view the UNI match as a must win for Julien and a good chance to bounce back from the SDSU loss.
184- ASU doesn't have a ranked guy, but Parker Keckeisen (UNI) is ranked 6th. Parker will be a very tough match for Sammy and will be telling as to where Sammy is at from a conditioning/return to form from injury.
197- Curious to see which Iowa State guy wrestles varsity these matches. UNI doesn't have a ranked wrestler, but Norfleet from ASU is ranked 3rd
Hwt- 2 tough matches for Gremmel. 6th ranked Isley from UNI (seems like he and Gannon always have a 3-2 match with it alternating every time) and 14th ranked Cohlton Schultz from ASU. Schultz was a super recruit out of high school that Iowa State recruited very hard
