Yeah i don't see what the big deal is here. People are shocked by an all white sorority in the south? Was there something more controversial in the sorority video that wasn't shown on the usatoday link? If not, I don't see how this is a national story.

When was your last visit to campus? It's not exactly the 70's anymore. Then again, maybe I'm just reaching Dirty Old Man status.

IMO the whole "south has the hottest girls ever" thing is just totally overblown. There's more of this in the south:

Even the news people on Today Show didn't have a problem with it. I wish ISU would get more creative than those horrible "Choose your adventure" commercials

I think the whispering fit with the first commercial and it was pretty well received, so unfortunately they kept doing it. But the marketing dept needs something new. I'd rather have the Hooray for Ames commercial than the old people whispering at me.
Also, why chOoseyouradventure.net? They couldn't think office thing longer and having less to do with ISU?

I live where the University of Arkansas is located and can confirm this. For every woman in the south that looks like Katherine Webb, there are three that popped out 2-3 kids before turning 21, got addicted to meth when they were 17, or became morbidly obese as a teenager because everything they serve as food down here is deep fried, smothered in butter, and coated in sugar.

The whole sorority thing is annoying to me, but why anyone would find this offensive is completely foreign to me.

There are hungry kids somewhere, wells in Haiti that need to be drilled, a single mom that needs some help paying this bills, people on the brink of suicide, etc and people find a way to sit around and complain about a sorority recruitment video?
