Don’t get me wrong, I had a hard on for those threes last night and - Shot form yea but there’s a lot to get him anywhere close to bird level. He doesn’t pass (yet) like bird did. We also didn’t really be creative inside the arc. Defensively and rebounding he was good but let’s wait and see how he does against bigger quicker big 12 players before anointing him the next bird.

Why would he leave for another school? Star player in the top league? I'm sure he's a top priority for the "We Will" fund. He's more likely to go pro than transfer IMO.

Lol Can’t we just have fun with the comparison?

One of my concerns going into this season was the lack of star power. Basketball is so often more about how good your best 2-3 guys are than how good you are through an eight-man rotation.

One stud can will a team from an afterthought to competing for conference titles and the second or even the third weekend. I think this team has a lot of very good players, but nobody who really leapt out at me as the "next big thing." Maybe Lipsey? Tre King? Maybe Gilbert given some reports from practice?

Nope. Turns out it's the goofy white boy freshman from Wisconsin.

Not every great player has to pass like Bird, Magic or Jokic, those are once a generation type of players. He seemed to be a complete player last night, not just a shooting specialist. Dirk was a very complete player without ever being greatest passer of his generation.

Milan had a great start last night. Looking forward to seeing how the other Big 12 teams play against him.

What I liked about Milan was that he hunts his shot. It’s cool to see a 6’8” guy swing under the basket to the wing and drain a three.

His body looks Big12 ready as well. The dude has thick legs for a tall kid and you can tell he’s been working on his muscle mass. Dude is a man.

The kid is only going to get better and without a doubt will be responsible for a buzzer beater or two as we glide through the season.

I bet for Halloween he dressed as an angel because this dude was sent to ISU from Heaven.

Edit: Evidentially, angles can't fly. Who knew.

Will be interesting to see his rebounding #s in big 12 talent. Seemed to just naturally grab rebounds last night and was not expecting him to be a great rebounder at least not this year.
