Used Cell phones question

My wife has US Cellular and was thinking about buying a used Iphone. Does anyone know if you just buy an unlocked Iphone for US celluar? Any good places to buy? She currently has an Iphone 6 so we would be looking for a 7 plus or newer and currently more than the 16GB of memory she has now. It seems when I do a search like on swappa.com us cellular doesn't have very many options.Thanks in advance

Bought and have sold used phones on craigsllst and facebook and have had good luck. I am pretty sure that apple phones are unlocked and can be used on different carriers but I've always looked for one that was previously with us cellular which is who I'm with as well. Android is a bit more tricky as they are usually carrier specific models. It's a heck of a lot cheaper way to get a phone if you don't have to have the newest model. If you buy a phone eet them at a US Cellular location and confirm it will hook up with your plan. That will also eliminate them from trying to sell you a stolen one.

Buy on Amazon. Just make sure it says unlocked and "Certified Refurbished" and you're good to go. Have 6 people on our plan- having no contracts and using used phones has saved me a ton of money over the past couple years. Always buy used iphones that are a couple generations behind. For example, wife and I just got used 8s. IMO it's the way to go.

I bought a refurbished iPhone 6 on Swappa last year. The seller was BuyBackBoss or something like that. A few days after I got it the screen started pixelating. BuyBackBoss was very good about sending me another one. I think the “warranty” was only 30 days or so, so keep that in mind if buying used.
